Vulcan Blockchain Features: Auto Staking/Auto Rebasing Are A Game Changer!

Staking allows crypto holders to earn money without having to sell their digital assets. They can lend their cryptocurrency by storing it for a set period of time and receiving rewards in return in the form of tokens that can be sold at a later date. This is similar to putting money in a high-interest savings account which can be used to earn interest based on the amount of money put in.

However, much like various other technologies and investment practices over the years, staking capabilities continue to evolve and that is where Vulcan Blockchain comes in with its auto staking, rebasing, compounding, and fixed flex elements.

Understanding Vulcan’s unique concept

When crypto investors stake their assets, they help to run the blockchain with which they are affiliated in a mutually beneficial relationship. Vulcan claims that every project launched on its platform instantly becomes a DeFi protocol. This is possible through the core auto-rebasing technology inherited from $VUL, its native coin.

The emphasis on auto staking, auto rebasing, and auto compounding distinguishes Vulcan’s approach as compared to other blockchains.

Thanks to auto staking, holders are no longer required to stake their coins anywhere other than their own individual wallets. With Vulcan, investors can also earn rebased $VUL coins as interest payments, and the supply of circulating coins is distributed automatically every 15 minutes at a 44% APR.

Vulcan also uses a burn mechanism known as the Fire Pit, which continuously reduces the overall supply of $VUL in proportion to the number of transactions on the blockchain. By default, 80% of total transaction fees are sent to the Fire Pit, helping minimize price fluctuations while maintaining sustainability.

Moreover, through Vulcan’s auto-compounding solution, all $VUL investors and holders can potentially grow their own with each epoch. In this way, investors can seamlessly receive regular interest payments via rebased native tokens.

Vulcan flex passive income

FixedFlex, or Vulcan Flex, is another revolutionary passive income concept by Vulcan and consists of two parts within it. To begin, the term ‘Fixed’ in this context refers to the permanent, consistent, and unchangeable 44% APR per year that is distributed directly as rebases.

Furthermore, each $VUL holder receives this simply by keeping $VUL coins in their wallet and auto-staking them. The fixed amount is also automatically distributed to all eligible wallets without the need to claim or lock up the coins.

The term ‘Flex’ in this context refers to 1% of fees collected from all $VUL transactions that are conducted on-chain on a daily basis. These fees are then collected and subsequently distributed for claiming purposes. Vulcan is the first and only blockchain to distribute income generated from transactional gas fees to its native coin holders of $VUL.

In order for a wallet to be deemed eligible, it must hold at least 1 $VUL during each 24-hour period and claim during this timeframe through the Vulcan dApp (it will be forfeited otherwise). Finally, the ‘FlexPool’ reward is reset every day at 23:59 UTC.

What is Vulcan Blockchain?

Spearheaded by Bryan Legend, Vulcan Blockchain is the first of its kind to include layer-1 auto staking, auto rebasing, auto compounding, and fixed flex components. In 2023, staking has become more popular than ever as investors look for reliable and efficient ways to earn additional income.

It is the desire to make staking as easy and effective as possible that led to the formation of the abovementioned core aspects, which all function in harmony so that Vulcan Blockchain can become the go-to platform for all DeFi needs.

Running A Profitable Business: Best Practices For Pricing

Many people run a small business without knowing what makes a successful or profitable business. There are many techniques that successful businesses use to grow and generate revenue, which is why it is beneficial for entrepreneurs to learn these strategies for themselves.

The following write-up has compiled some of the best strategies one can use if they are running a profit-driven company. The full article will go over the ideas in detail and provide effective pricing practices you can implement into their company’s operations.

How Pricing Strategies Help Running A Profitable Business

There are a plethora of ways to increase your revenue. However, the best way to do this is to know how your company maximizes its profits. Revenue is generated by selling your product or service at the right price. It may seem obvious, but the key to maximizing profits is having an idea of what makes a profit and choosing pricing strategies that benefit this goal.

It is important to use a software pricing company that will make a business profitable in order for it to become successful. Below you will find the most popular practices for pricing that increase revenue and overall profitability.

Best Practices For Pricing

The marketing and pricing techniques below are the most common practices business owners use. Some of these techniques are simple, and some require additional price structures, but they all aim to improve profits.

Competition-Based Pricing

Cost-Plus Pricing

Cost-plus pricing is an approach that sets a price high enough to pay all the expenses for setting up and running the business, including wages for each staff member and other costs. Then the remaining profit is divided among the owners.

Dynamic Pricing

Dynamic pricing is the use of changing your price on a regular basis for your product or service. For this strategy, you set prices for different time periods. For example, you may set up a five-day price cycle and offer five discounts over the course of the week. The idea is that there are often various “deals” that can be had over the course of a week because people do not have time to purchase much during certain days, therefore only going to purchase those things they truly need when they know they will have time to purchase them during that time frame.

Hourly Pricing

Hourly pricing is a relatively new form of pricing strategy. It is in vogue for online commerce because it allows businesses to efficiently enter a market with an uncertain amount of time before customers decide to purchase. Most online stores now use hourly pricing for their products and services, much like stores that have items purchased by the hour and therefore must be selected from an inventory rather than ordered and have no price listed.

Skimming Pricing

Penetration Pricing

Penetration pricing is the opposite of skimming. Instead of raising your price to the highest level you can, penetration pricing has you setting your prices at a low amount to entice consumers to buy your product or service.

Project-Based Pricing

The idea of project-based pricing comes in the form of a quote. For every product or service, there is a starting price that you are willing to accept. A quote with a range of charges allows businesses to be flexible to their customer’s needs while maintaining profitability and quality.

Value-Based Pricing

Value-based pricing is another form of pricing strategy that involves acknowledging the value of a product or service while also considering its cost and likability. This requires the use of statistics to properly price products like software.

Bundle Pricing

The Bottom Line

Pricing is a very important area of your business operation. If you are selling a product, you must make sure that you are pricing it at a level that is both high enough to keep profits and low enough to gather interest from the consumer.

There are many different strategies for pricing your products and services and ultimately finding the perfect one for your business or brand will depend on what type of industry you are in and what the needs of the consumers are.

Buying A 5G Phone Is Already A Confusing Mess

Consumers can’t be expected to learn the subtle differences between 5G networks and handset capabilities.

This isn’t just a Samsung problem. This situation applies to all of the 5G smartphones released so far. A good deal of them only support sub-6GHz 5G, but manufacturers also often offer a more niche mmWave model too. For example, Sony Xperia 1 II is sub-6Ghz only while the Xperia Pro will support mmWave. Worse still, there’s the basic LG V60 ThinQ 5G model heading to all carriers, but also a mmWave Verizon exclusive “5G UW” version too. We can break this mess down even further to find that these phones all support a variety of different 5G radio bands too. Here’s a list of some current 5G smartphones and the types of 5G technology they support:

Hmm. Which one to buy to get the most out of your 5G network?

Is a sub-6GHz-only phone really 5G?

Sub-6GHz is the most affordable upgrade path to 5G for most carriers, but it’s not the fastest form of 5G tech around. That’s mmWave. Part of the problem is that the scope of 5G is simply massive and regional rollouts look very different all around the world. 5G handset manufacturers need to cater for the most common use case, sub-6GHz, but the more bands supported the better.

The industry sees 5G as a cash cow. That could backfire.

Features

mmWave technology is going to take much longer to appear globally. The US is the only country with mmWave up and running right now, thanks to Verizon. In that sense, we can think of sub-6GHz as the most common 5G use case today, but more of a minimum experience going forward.

Qualcomm’s expectation for global 5G deployment at the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2023.

As such, sub-6GHz only phones are fine for now, at least in theory. However, you’ll want to check your phone supports the right bands for your country and carrier. A number of 5G handsets support just a few sub-6GHz bands. Remember though, these phone’s aren’t future-proofed for when mmWave 5G arrives in earnest. Consumers have to carefully consider if these expensive phones offer enough value for money.

What if I don’t want 5G?

Why is the Samsung Galaxy S20 so expensive?

Opinions

Returning to Samsung, the company is charging a premium with the Galaxy S20 Plus for mmWave technology that your country may not even support for years. After the recent price drops for the S10 series, the Galaxy S20 costs $250 more than the S10, meanwhile, the Plus version costs a whopping $350 more than its predecessor. Even without the discounts, the ticket price of each S20 series phone has increased by as much as $200 compared to their predecessors’ asking prices at launch.  That’s a notable margin for the luxury of 5G technology. Although not as bad as the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G’s $1,299 original price tag at Verizon.

Granted, there is a 4G-only model of the Samsung Galaxy S20, but it doesn’t feature the same processor and it isn’t available in the US. Galaxy S20 4G availability is confirmed for the UK and India, but it’s not clear how many other regions will see the handset. We’ll probably see 4G models of other releases this year also, although that’s by no means guaranteed.

Why I won’t be buying a 5G smartphone this year

Besides the huge price tags, battery life problems, and limited 5G availability in the UK right now, it’s primarily the above reasons why I won’t be buying a 5G phone this year.

The 5G market is still taking shape, so there’s little reason to rush into a purchase that might not support the best 5G bands or technology in the coming years. Similarly, buying a mmWave phone today may not be worth the money if carriers end up delaying their super-high-frequency rollouts.

Macrocosm Is A Beautifully Relaxing Game

Though I do play my fair share of action games on iOS, I tend to sway more towards the relaxing side of the game spectrum; games that I can use to relax at the end of a long week. When on the hunt for more cool-down games, I came across Macrocosm, a new space-age game that was released earlier this month.

This game is based in space where you play as a blob of dark matter with your objectives being simple: get bigger, don’t get killed by spaceships, and free other dark matter. To find out if this game is both relaxing and exciting, read on for my full Macrocosm review…

Design

When you launch Macrocosm, you’ll be greeted with a simple level select screen. Each level is represented by a different text icon, and after selecting a level, you’ll be brought right into gameplay barely any instruction aside from a couple of speech bubbles.

Your character, a black blob of dark matter, is designed well and fits in with the rest of the game. The blob is animated and bubbles when you race around the map finding more dark matter. The spaceships and planets in the game are also designed well, both with minimal yet classy designs that are very pleasing to the eyes.

Gameplay

To control your dark matter, you must tap and drag a line for your blob to move along. As you move about Macrocosm’s different maps, you’ll begin to see other blobs of dark matter. You must collect these other blobs by running into them in order to make your blob bigger.

You’re not alone in space, in fact, you have enemies. When collecting dark matter, you’ll run into tiny space ships that will shoot at you. Make sure to avoid these spaceships as, when you’re hit with their bullets, your blob of dark matter will shrink and eventually disappear completely.

Later in the game, you realize that these spaceships, or “forces of evil,” are trying to collect all of the dark matter for themselves, so your objective becomes to find these black dots of dark matter and free them from the forces.

The Good

Macrocosm’s design is absolutely beautiful with stunning space graphics and backdrops. I’m also a huge fan of the app’s setting, making for a super calming game that can still provide hours of fun.

The Bad

As of now, there’s  no instruction guide to lead you throughout the game. This can make first starting to play Macrocosm quite confusing, and may even turn some users away from the game completely. Additionally, there’s no way to return to the main menu mid-way through a game, making it so one must quit out of the app to switch levels.

Value

Considering Macrocosm only costs $0.99 and is a universal iPhone and iPad app, I think it’s a pretty good deal right off the bat. Though the game only has five levels, they can take quite some time to work through, especially as you near the end of the game, making for a game that will keep you entertained for hours.

Conclusion

Macrocosm may not be for everyone, but I can definitely recommend it to those who want to use the game to settle down after a long day with the game’s floaty controls, beautiful design, and interesting concept. However, those expecting high-action entertainment will be thoroughly disappointed.
