Suggested April 2024 The Best Portable Monitors You Can Buy For Work, Play, And Everyday Use

If you want to be super-productive, the ideal scenario is connecting two or more screens to your desktop or laptop. This is easy to set up at home or in the office, but then you find yourself stuck in a hotel room with just a laptop, and you can’t remember how to function with a single display. We’ve dug deep and found the best portable monitors you can buy right now for work, play, and general use to ease those travel woes.

The best portable monitors in 2023

Editor’s note: We’ll be updating this list of the best portable monitors regularly as new ones launch.

USB-A and USB-C

Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority

Before we get started, you’ll need to understand the difference between USB-C and USB-A connections in terms of video output. Your PC’s USB-C port may support the DisplayPort protocol, which is an alternative to HDMI. However, that’s not a guarantee as manufacturers may limit USB-C connectivity to power, data, or a combination of both. Check your PC’s specifications before purchasing a USB-C-based portable monitor.

If your USB-C port supports the DisplayPort protocol, you can plug a portable monitor into your PC without installing additional software. That’s not the case for USB-A connections, as they do not support video output. To connect your display via USB-A, you’ll need DisplayLink drivers installed on your PC. Moreover, if your USB-C port supports data but not DisplayPort, you’ll still need the DisplayLink drivers.

You can grab the latest drivers here:

Microsoft Windows

macOS

Android

Chrome OS

Ubuntu

Many portable monitors listed below rely on a single USB-A or USB-C connection. You’ll also find standard DisplayPort and HDMI connections on several units, along with their Micro and Mini variants. You’ll even see units requiring a separate power supply while others draw power straight from the parent PC.

TN and IPS

Some displays rely on TN panels, while others feature an IPS display. Short for Twisted Nematic, TN technology is the oldest of the two, serving as the first LCD panel type replacing CRT monitors. The benefits are short response times, high brightness levels, and super-high refresh rates, making TN panels ideal for gaming. However, they don’t provide wide viewing angles or support large color palates.

IPS, short for In-Plane Switching, serves as the successor to TN technology. IPS panels are ideal for color-accurate content creation and general use due to their support for over 16 million colors and wide viewing angles. Refresh rates and response times have improved over the years, but gamers may be better off using TN displays if color depth isn’t required.

Lenovo ThinkVision M14

Our first portable monitor comes from Lenovo, which is one of the best laptop PC makers. It makes sense the company can also create a great portable monitor. The Lenovo ThinkVision M14 has a 14-inch Full HD display and connects to your laptop or desktop PC via its USB-C port. In fact, it has two USB-C ports, one on each side, so you can place the monitor on either side of a laptop or desktop monitor with ease.

The monitor’s built-in kickstand contains the device’s ports, and can adjust the screen’s angle from -5 degrees to 90 degrees. You can also make adjustments to the monitor’s bottom foot to raise or lower its height. This portable display weighs 1.3 pounds and measures 4.4mm thick. And it comes with its own sleeve for easy transport.

NexiGo 144Hz 17.3-inch Portable Gaming Monitor

This NexiGo monitor is pretty large at 17.3 inches diagonally. There’s more to it than size, though. This is meant to be a gaming monitor, and it has the specs to qualify as one. You get an FHD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and IPS technology. It also sports a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 100% of the sRGB spectrum. The 4ms response time is also pretty good for a portable monitor connected via HDMI or USB-C.

Next: The best monitors around

The brand may not be as popular as others in this list, but this Nexigo screen can hold its own. It’s definitely one of the best portable monitors around.

HP EliteDisplay S14

HP’s portable display has a 14-inch IPS panel with a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution at 60Hz. It doesn’t pack a huge list of features like the larger ASUS unit, but you’ll find notable tidbits like on-screen controls, a low blue light mode, and USB-C connectivity that pulls both data and power from the parent PC or tablet. The wraparound easel cover serves as a built-in prop in landscape mode only.

This portable display has a maximum brightness of 200 nits, 178-degree viewing angles, a 700:1 contrast ratio, and a 5ms response time. It does not have any additional outputs, integrated speakers, or touch input capability. HP largely targets business users with this product, though anyone can use it for gaming and general productivity.

ASUS ROG Strix

The ROG (Republic of Gamers) brand from ASUS sells laptops, PCs, and accessories for hardcore PC gamers. It’s no surprise that its ROG Strix portable monitor is also made for that audience. And boy, does it perform. It has a huge 17.3-inch display, a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, a 3ms response time, and a high-speed 240hz refresh rate. It also has adaptive-sync support so that gaming should look smooth no matter what. Even with its size and refresh rate, the battery life should last up to 3 hours on a single charge.

Elecrow 10.1 Inch Raspberry Pi Screen

Don’t let the Raspberry Pi reference fool you: This display works with any device packing an HDMI or VGA connector. Measuring 10.1 inches diagonally, it relies on an IPS panel with a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution at 60Hz.

What’s notable about this model is that it has the brightest screen on the list at 400 nits (maximum). The Elecrow screen also sports 170-degree viewing angles, an 800:1 contrast ratio, and integrated speakers.

Acer PM161Q

The Acer PM161Q connects via USB-C; strangely enough, you’ll also need a micro-USB cable to power this monitor. This 1,920 x 1,080 IPS panel is housed in a thicker frame, including a simple kickstand. It weighs in at 2.14 lbs and is just 0.79 inches thick.

USB connectivity means that this monitor will connect to your supported smartphone or tablet, not just a laptop, giving a little extra versatility for those that travel light. The slower 7ms response time and the lack of viewing angle options with that single-point kickstand move this monitor down our list a little, but we still think it’s worth your consideration. Especially if you’re an Acer fan.

Lepow portable monitor

This portable monitor comes in at 15.6 inches and offers Full HD resolution. It features an IPS panel that can be used in both landscape and portrait mode and comes with a smart cover that doubles as a kickstand.

More: These are the best mini laptops you can find

The display works with all sorts of devices, including laptops, phones, and gaming consoles. You can hook it up via a USB-C or a Mini HDMI cable. It has a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, a 60Hz refresh rate, and 85-degree viewing angles. It also sports two speakers. Lepow’s portable display is 0.3-inch thick and weighs 1.76 pounds. A screen protector is included in the box.

ASUS ProArt portable monitor

Amazon

This ASUS ProArt display is definitely one of the best portable monitors around. The 14-inch panel has a nice Full HD resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. But you don’t have to settle for a small screen, as ASUS also offers a 22-inch version. It even comes with a touchscreen, so you can use it as a tablet of sorts. The stand on the larger model can make the screen sit higher off of a desk, almost turning it into a standard monitor.

What makes this product unique is mostly its design. The aluminum construction, super-thin 0.5-inch body, and sleek edges look stunning. The unit sports a couple of USB-C ports and an HDMI connection, and it can even pass power to charge your device.

Dragon Touch S1 Pro

Gamers looking for higher resolutions need to look no further than the Dragon Touch S1 Pro. It’s definitely one of the best portable monitors, featuring a 15.6-inch 4K HDR display with 100% sRGB color reproduction and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. It can also handle a 60Hz refresh rate and comes with its own set of speakers.

The Best Gaming Keyboards You Can Buy

Luke Little / Android Authority

When you think “gaming keyboard,” a distinct look probably comes to mind: a flashy, angular design with bright, colorful lights, media keys, and some pretty sweet-looking keys. When it comes to looking for the perfect fit for you, however, the search is muddled by low-quality boards that range from half-decent to plain bad. Here, we’re going to break down the vast landscape a bit and point out the best gaming keyboards we can find, along with a few honorable mentions that are also worth looking at.

See also: The best keyboards you can buy

For starters, the vast majority of gaming keyboards are mechanical. We recommend checking out our full explainer on what that means. Basically, these keyboards use switches with springs in them to provide a tactile feel, more travel distance, different types of noises, actuation distances, etc. If you’re new to this, definitely read up first. Here are some of the very basics:

Red switches are quiet, not tactile, and require very little force to actuate.

Blue switches are loud, fairly tactile, and require more force to actuate.

Brown switches are similar to red switches but with some tactility and little noise.

There are too many variations of these switches for us to cover here, but many are covered in our explainer. There are many manufacturers of mechanical switches, but German company Cherry is the biggest and most mainstream, followed by Kailh and Gateron, who offer excellent alternatives. Some accessory companies like Razer and Logitech produce their own awesome switches as well.

Razer BlackWidow Lite: This TKL board from Razer serves looks and is made with the company’s orange switches for silence and tactility.

SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL: This keyboard is likely similar to the image you think of when you hear “gaming keyboard”. With a tall build, customizable RGB, and media keys, this is an all-rounder that is well worth consideration.

ROCCAT Vulcan TKL: The Vulcan TKL is built like a slightly flashier G915. It has a metal top plate, tactile or linear switches, media keys, and will be a pleasure to play on.

Razer Huntsman V2 TKL: How could we make a list of gaming keyboards without including Razer? This one’s hallmark is the blazing fast 8,000Hz polling rate, which means that the keyboard will respond to inputs faster than the standard 1,000Hz keyboard. Eliminating latency is critical in fast-paced games.

Anne Pro 2 60%: This is the most miniature gaming keyboard on the list, eliminating the cursor control keys to create a smaller footprint.

ROG Claymore II: Maybe you want the space savings of TKL but still need the number pad sometimes; ASUS has you covered. The Claymore II keyboard has a removable number pad, so you can freely switch between form factors or even place it on the left side for some extra functionality in games.

Logitech G213: This is Logitech’s best budget gaming keyboard, hands down. It has everything you’ll need to get going with gaming-grade performance, plus spill resistance because we all need a drink in the heat of battle sometimes.

Corsair K100: The K100 is built like a tank. Featuring a brushed aluminum look, 44 zones of RGB lighting, and Corsair’s Axon processing tech, the only concern you’ll have is what to personalize first.

HyperX Alloy Elite 2: HyperX is a pretty well-known name in the PC peripheral space. The Alloy Elite 2 has everything you’d expect from a gaming keyboard, plus media keys and a USB passthrough.

Anne Pro 2 60%

Amazon

A 60% keyboard is, you guessed it, about 60% of a standard 104-key keyboard. The Anne Pro 2 gets fantastic reviews for what it does in this highly compact form factor.

It is a Bluetooth gaming keyboard that offers various Kailh switches, USB-C charging, and up to four paired devices. You can also enable a set of pseudo-arrow keys on this board, just in case you need those back momentarily. This keyboard is made for travel, but gamers review the Pro 2 very well.

That’s it for our list of the best gaming keyboards you can buy, but there are many that we didn’t cover. We also want to give a shoutout to the following gaming keyboards:

HAVIT KB395L: I’ve used this one myself, and it is surprising how on-par this board is with the Logitech G915 for the price. The Kailh blue switches feel incredibly close to those of Logitech, and the metal faceplate greatly enhances build quality.

Razer Tartarus v2: This gaming keypad is a peculiar thing, and I’d recommend watching videos that detail how it works in use. We love to see expanded accessibility, so this is a pretty cool accessory for those who have a hard time using standard keyboards and mice.

OnePlus fit some serious flagship specs into a mid-range machine, but you still have to keep the device safe. Here are the best OnePlus Nord cases available right now.

Best OnePlus Nord cases:

Editor’s note: We will continue to update this list of the best cases for the OnePlus Nord as more become available.

Spigen Ultra Hybrid

Amazon

Spigen is a leader among case makers, and it offers a full range of options for almost any device you can think of. The Ultra Hybrid is a top pick for the OnePlus Nord as it offers solid durability without adding much bulk. A black TPU bumper guards the edges while a crystal-clear polycarbonate back panel deflects scuffs and scrapes.

Spigen Rugged Armor

Amazon

Sticking with Spigen, the Rugged Armor case is a sleek matte black option with carbon fiber hits at the top and bottom. It’s made entirely of flexible TPU so that you can apply or remove the case in seconds. Spigen’s signature Air Cushion technology guards your OnePlus Nord against drops but the case itself adds just 2mm of thickness.

Tudia Merge

Amazon

Tudia’s Merge case for the OnePlus Nord offers hybrid protection, though it uses a two-piece construction for added protection. The base layer is a TPU bumper to minimize drops, while a polycarbonate shell stops scratches in their tracks. It’s also MIL-STD 810G certified to withstand 26 drops from a four-foot height.

Ringke Fusion-X

Amazon

One of the most unique OnePlus Nord cases, the Fusion-X combines an angular bumper with a clear back panel for hybrid protection. You can grab the bumper in either black or Space Blue, and the back panel comes in camo, too, as seen above. The Fusion-X also has a pair of QuikCatch lanyard holes for toting your phone around.

Olixar Wallet

Amazon

Cases that protect your phone are great, but what about one that does more than that? Olixar’s wallet case actually helps to free up pocket space by replacing your wallet. It’s crafted out of genuine leather and features a pair of card slots so you can keep the essentials on you. There’s no cash pocket but the leather folio cover also doubles as a kickstand while you stream your favorite shows.

Spigen Tough Armor

Amazon

If you’re worried about dropping your new phone, the Spigen Tough Armor is one of the most durable cases around. It’s a hybrid option with a soft TPU lining and a stiff polycarbonate exoskeleton. The Tough Armor might not be the easiest case to fit into your pocket, but the MIL-STD 810G certification is more than worth the money. It even includes a built-in kickstand for streaming your favorite shows.

Official Sandstone bumper case

OnePlus

Another OnePlus option, the Sandstone bumper wraps your Nord in a brilliant blue shade that’s impossible to miss. It’s made of a polycarbonate and TPU blend for hybrid security, and the case has ridges along the sides to improve your grip. If the blue hue is a bit too bright, the Sandstone bumper also comes in a stealthy black finish.

10 Best Microphones For Youtube Videos You Can Buy

Starting your own professional YouTube channel requires some investment, as you’ll have to purchase a variety of different equipment that lets you make high quality videos for the world to see. These include cameras, rendering software, capture cards, high-end computers, microphones and even equipment for better lighting. Sure, a good camera is a must-buy for making high quality YouTube videos, but the built-in microphones that most of these cameras have, are probably the worst you could use for YouTube. Audio quality is equally important as video quality, and if you’re looking forward to launch your new YouTube channel on a professional basis, a dedicated microphone is a much needed investment for ensuring great audio quality across all your future videos. Well, there are plenty of options that you can currently choose from, depending on your budget and quality requirements. However, if you’re confused regarding which one to go for, here are the 10 best microphones for YouTube you can buy:

Best Budget Condenser Microphones For YouTube 1. Blue Yeti USB Microphone

If you want a great quality mic that’s worth every single penny, the Blue Yeti is certainly the best one that you can go for. In fact, this is the mic we use for our YouTube videos. For the asking price of under 130 bucks, it’s pretty hard to match the Yeti as far as USB microphones are concerned. First of all, it has a three condenser capsule array that lets you record high quality audio in almost any situation. Users can switch between cardioid, bidirectional, omnidirectional and stereo patterns for sound recording, which is a major plus.

The Yeti has two ports, a USB port that powers the device, as well as a 3.5 mm headphone jack that lets you actively listen to what’s being recorded. Additionally, it has a sampling rate of 16-bit at 48 KHz. The Blue Yeti is great for recording vocals, musical instruments, podcasts, voice-overs, interviews, field recordings and even conference calls. However, considering it’s a pretty sensitive microphone, expect it pick up a fair bit of background noise as well. Regardless, it can be pretty much considered as a stellar all-round microphone, and you simply cannot go wrong by opting for it.

2. Blue Snowball USB Microphone

Consider this to be a much more affordable alternative to the hugely popular Blue Yeti. If you’re pretty tight on budget, the Blue Snowball immediately becomes an obvious choice. The microphone is mostly built out of plastic with a metal grill, in a move to keep the costs down. There are three recording settings located at the back of the microphone. Users will be able to easily switch between Cardioid, Cardioid with -10dB pad and omnidirectional polar patterns. Additionally, the microphone has a sampling rate of 16-bit at 44.1 KHz, and a frequency response ranging from 40 Hz to 18 KHz.

For an asking price of under 70 bucks, the Blue Snowball is an inexpensive microphone. While using the cardioid mode on this microphone, you seem to get the full frequency response. However, the omnidirectional mode seems pretty hard to recommend as the audio becomes tinny and unpleasant to the ear. If you’re not planning to use the inferior omnidirectional mode, you could save 20 bucks by going for the lower-end Snowball iCE microphone. All in all, the Snowball manages to check most of the boxes expected from a microphone at this price point and it’s well suited to podcasts, vocals, interviews and other voice work.

3. Audio Technica AT2024 USB Microphone

In terms of sound quality, the Audio Technica AT2024 certainly doesn’t fail to impress us. Although the Blue Yeti might offer a fuller sound due to better balance between base and high frequencies, the AT2024 focus much more on the high frequences with lesser base. This results in a smoother detail in comparison to the Blue Yeti, but take this with a grain of salt, as sound quality preferences are highly subjective. The cardiod polar pattern reduces pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, thereby improving isolation of desired sound source. For a $128 price tag, you simply cannot go wrong with the AT2024, as it’s one of the best microphones you can buy in this segment.

Best Professional Condenser Mics For YouTube 1. Sennheiser MKH 416 Shotgun Tube Condenser Microphone

Now that we’ve seen some of the best budget microphones that are out there on the market today, let’s move on to high-end microphones that’s used by professionals for the best possible audio quality. The Sennheiser MKH416 is considered to be the industry standard, as it’s preferred by film producers, as well as some of the popular YouTubers for their videos. That’s right, we’re looking at you, Jonathan Morrison. That being said, the MKH 416 is a shotgun microphone, and like several other shotgun microphones, it’s capable of picking up audio from the front very well, even at longer distances than traditional microphones.

The Sennheiser MKH 416 makes use of RF biasing rather than DC biasing, unlike conventional microphones in the market. It’s less susceptible to pop sounds and proximity, which is to be expected from a microphone at this price point. Sennheiser ensures high sensitivity and very low inherent self-noise, which is much needed for a production-grade microphone. If you want your voice to sound absolutely crispy and detailed, this is without doubt the best investment you’ll make for your YouTube channel, in terms of audio equipment. However, be ready to burn a hole in your pocket, as it costs nearly 1000 bucks in order to get your hands on one of them.

Buy from Amazon: ($999.95)

2. AKG Pro Audio C214 Condenser Microphone

Although not quite as great as the production-grade Sennheiser MKH 416, the AKG Pro Audio C214 is definitely a worthy professional microphone that you can consider, thanks to the much more affordable price point. This microphone has the sonic character of its bigger brother, the C414 XLII which costs over thousand dollars. This results in a beautifully detailed recording of lead vocals and solo instruments. The C214 has an exceptional dynamic range and ultra-low noise for close-up recording of high output sources of up to 156 dB.

Buy from Amazon: ($349)

3. Rode NT1-A Vocal Condenser Microphone

When it comes to microphones, we just cannot forget to mention about Rode, because that’s the reputation this company has received over the years, thanks to their stellar product line-up. The Rode NT1-A is no exception on that regard as it delivers outstanding audio quality for the price. The NT1-A has a large 1-inch capsule with a gold plated diaphragm and offers cardioid polar pattern to the end user. It has a very low self-noise rated at 5 dB and also features a transformerless surface mount circuitry.

Since the Rode NT1-A is not a USB microphone, it requires an audio interface with preamps to work. When it comes to sound quality, the NT1-A offers a good presence bump, which makes the microphone a great choice for recording musical instruments. It has a neutral response as well, thereby making the recordings easy to equalize. It’s well suited to users who’re looking forward to record vocals, voice-overs, podcasts and musical instruments, and for a price tag of approximately $229, this is certainly a worthy investment.

Best Shotgun Microphones For YouTube Vlogging & Broadcasting 1. Rode VideoMic Pro

If you’re looking forward to vlog on YouTube, you’re probably interested in a getting a shotgun microphone that you can connect to your DSLR camera. Well, the Rode VideoMic Pro is one of the best shotgun microphones out there, and you’ll certainly not be disappointed with the audio quality that this microphone has to offer in all your future vlogs. For a shotgun mic, the VideoMic Pro is pretty compact, which is much needed when you’re shooting vlogs. There are two toggles located at the back of this microphone. One of them lets users switch between on, off and high-pass filter, and other one lets you adjust the gain between -10, 0 and +10 dB depending on your recording preferences.

The Rode VideoMic Pro has a super-cardioid pickup pattern, which is essential in eliminating in a fair bit of background noise. When it comes to sound quality, you will receive the best possible sound when the subject is facing straight towards the mic. The mid-range tone offered by the microphone is pretty rich, with emphasis on vocal timbre. That being said, the VideoMic Pro is certainly a huge step up from the built-in microphone on a DSLR, as it delivers good audio quality when it comes to broadcasts, interviews and vlogs. For an asking price of $229, the Rode VideoMic Pro is a great affordable mic to record much better audio with your camera.

Buy from Amazon: ($229)

2. Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone

Moving on to the sound quality, since the MKE 600 is a neutral microphone, it manages to deliver broad and detailed sound. Overall, the audio tends to be a tad warmer and the directional range seems to be better in comparison to several other shotgun microphones out there. Well, consider the MKE 600 to be the little sibling to the legendary MKH 416 microphone as far as overall audio quality is concerned. If you think that the Rode VideoMic Pro will not make the cut for your professional work, the Sennheiser MKE 600 will certainly do the job, if you’re willing to spend nearly a hundred dollars more.

Buy from Amazon: ($308.53)

Best Lavalier Microphones For YouTube 1. Audio Technica ATR 3350 Omnidirectional Microphone

Moving away from the plethora of condenser and shotgun microphones on the market, we’ve now got Lavalier microphones. Also know as lav mics or lapel mics, these microphones are more versatile and well suited to be used along with DSLRs for interviews, public-speaking and broadcasting purposes. They’re also pretty affordable compared to other types of microphones. The Audio Technica ATR 3350 microphone seems to lead the pack in this department, and this one is an omnidirectional microphone. It has a frequency response ranging from 50 Hz to 18 KHz and has an open circuit sensitivity rated at 54 dB.

In terms of sound quality, the ATR 3350 delivers a flatter sound compared to several other lavalier microphones. However, the mic sensitivity is low, and thereby you need to boost up the signal before it sounds true to its potential. In addition to being used along with cameras, it can even be connected to your smartphone for much better audio, just in case you’re planning to vlog. Lastly, what impresses us most is the ATR 3350’s price tag, because at under 30 bucks, you just cannot go wrong by opting for this lavalier headphone.

Buy from Amazon: ($28.90)

2. Sony ECMCS3 Omnidirectional Stereo Microphone

Last on the list, we’ve got a lavalier microphone that’s even considerably more affordable than the ATR 3350. Coming from Sony, the build quality is pretty mediocre, as it’s made out of plastic and feels like you might actually break it. However, at this price point, this microphone is unmatched in terms of what it has to offer. The ECMCS3 has a frequency response ranging from 50 Hz to 15 KHz, which is good enough for a lavalier microphone. The mic’s cord length is short at 3 feet, so you will have to make use of a recorder in order to plug it in, rather than directly connecting it to a DSLR.

The Best Power Strips You Can Buy Right Now

Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority

One of the most essential pieces of tech you can get your hands on is a good power strip. It is easy to forget about the benefits these simple devices offer, but they can make your life much easier and protect your electronics. Here’s a list of our favorite options, as well as some information you should know before making the purchase.

The best power strips you can buy:

Editor’s note: This list of the best power strips will be regularly updated, so keep checking back for updates.

Why do you need a power strip?

Ryan Haines / Android Authority

You’ve probably used a power strip in the past. They allow you to reduce the mess in your home or office by containing all of your wires in one place. These devices will distribute power from one plug into many devices, making them very efficient in power usage. Furthermore, they often come with built-in surge protection, which can keep your electronics safe if there is a sudden jump in voltage.

What to look for in a good power strip

A good power strip will be strong against all kinds of damage, such as fire damage and blunt impacts. You should also pick one with built-in surge protection to ensure your electronics aren’t damaged in case of a surge.

Try to find one with an energy absorption rating of 500 joules or more, which is the amount of energy it will protect your devices against. Finally, you will also want to check that the power strip’s surge protector will be triggered at around 400V or less.

GE 6 Outlet Surge Protector

General Electric is synonymous with quality and value. This item may not look as fancy as others in this list of the best power strips, but it’s an excellent option for those who seek simplicity. Outlets feature safety covers, and the unit comes with 800-joule surge protection. It’s also very affordable, making it a great deal.

Belkin F9H100-CW single outlet SurgeCube

This isn’t exactly a power strip, as it doesn’t have multiple outlets. We thought it was a great addition to this list, though, simply because we know many of you might not need an entire strip, but still want to protect a device from surges. Full power strips can get messy, too.

Anker Power Strip Surge Protector

Anker is another popular accessory brand, and looking at this product, we can tell why. The unit’s versatility and simplicity make it one of the best power strips available. It has 12 outlets and three USB fast charging ports. It also features surge protection by up to 4,000 joules, so it will keep your electronics safe. Its aesthetics are immaculate and simple to top things off, so it won’t look too bad if you decide to keep it visible.

Amazon Basics Standby UPS 600VA 360W Surge Protector Battery Backup
