The device still, keeps some of the juicy features of its bigger siblings, albeit some compromises. First, the display is a lot more now compact – at 5.8 inches, the Galaxy S10e eschews the continuum curved sides display for a flat Dynamic AMOLED panel with HDR+ support, and drops the in-screen fingerprint reader for a side-mounted one as rumored.

Samsung has also dropped the telephoto module on the flip side, leaving the S10e with just the 12MP main cam and 16MP ultra-wide angle shooter, while retaining the 10MP/4K module used on the S10. Battery sized also has been cut down to a 3,100mAh size, but still enjoys the fast wired and wireless charging, plus Wireless PowerShare goodies. The Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e are immediately available for pre-order in the US and several countries and will go on sale from March 8, 2023, in select markets. June 1, 2023: Samsung has a new software update for the international variants of the Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+. The three, as part of the May 2023 security patch, are receiving the support for Night mode on the ultra-wide angle lens.
The dedicated Night mode feature was included in the update to April 2023 security patch, but the latest version is here to improve it. The same update also adds Live Focus to the telephoto lens, allowing users to capture closeup bokeh photos without moving physically. Of course, this update is limited to the S10 and S10+ since the S10e doesn’t have a third, telephoto lens.

May 21, 2023: Reports coming in suggest Samsung is lining up a new Cardinal Red color variant for the Galaxy S10 and S10+ phones. Yes, this is just a new paint job and nothing else about the phones changes.
May 18, 2023: Samsung will be at the 2023 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo Japan to shine on with the Galaxy S10+ Olympic Games Edition, more than a year since the original phone launched. It’s strange why Samsung would want to launch a dated phone in conjunction with such a huge sporting event, but hey, we don’t make the rules.
The phone has been launched in partnership with local carrier Docomo and will be sold in Prism White with a Tokyo 2023 Olympic Games logo on the back. Only 10,000 units will be produced and apparently, a pair of special Galaxy Buds featuring Galaxy Buds with the Tokyo 2023 logo on the case will be included.
April 19, 2023: It has been rumored before that Samsung was working on a dedicated Night mode for the camera with an end-of-April release date. Well, it appears that the update that started rolling out yesterday in Europe with April 2023 security patches also tags along the new dedicated Night mode feature.
With the update now rolling out in more markets across Europe and Asia where models SM-G970F, SM-G973F, and SM-G975F of the S10e, S10, and S10+ are sold, respectively, more people are now able to see the Night mode in their camera apps.

April 18, 2023: Plenty of Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+ users on Sprint have reported LTE connectivity issues with their units. Sprint has since rolled out two software updates, but the carrier says none of them was meant to fix these issues. Instead, they were meant to protect unaffected units from getting the same LTE issues.
Now, to cool things off, Sprint has confirmed that it will be replacing Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+ units affected by these LTE issues, but there is a catch or perhaps two. Find out more about these catches and everything else about this program here.
Elsewhere in Europe, the Galaxy S10 series is receiving an update that introduces a dedicated Night mode in the camera app for taking better shots at night. This feature has been in the rumor mills for a while, but it now arrives as part of April 2023 security patches. More to this here.

Samsung’s plans for the future with the Galaxy S10 are coming on quick – even before the Galaxy Note 9 is fully revealed. What we’re looking at today is a set of plans for a Galaxy smartphone with the potential for more than one display. And before you say it – no, this isn’t the Galaxy X with a folding screen and another screen on its back, this is a completely separate device with two displays – because why not?
The Samsung Galaxy S series has been one of some basic structure over the past half-decade. It’s been pretty much the epitome of “do what works, and do it well” in the Android smartphone industry. Samsung’s been one to experiment, but always with the Samsung Galaxy S as a backup plan. The Galaxy S has always been there as a primary bedrock on which all other smartphones can stand, no matter how weird.
Now might be one of those times when Samsung experiments with the way the device works. Back when the company wanted to introduce the “Edge” display to the world, they did so with the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. That device was essentially the same as its closest Galaxy Note brethren, but with a display that cascaded off its right-hand side. Not long after its release, the Galaxy S Edge family was born, and the “Edge” was transformed into the “Infinity Display” all primary Galaxy S and Note devices work with today.
The Samsung Galaxy S and/or Note family might soon be working with a much more expansive set of display spaces. In a patent application Samsung references Sharp’s string of “Aquos Crystal” devices, and the like – this should come as no surprise as edge-less devices of many sorts look largely the same these days. The Samsung smartphone’s ornamental design described by the patent – that’s Patent number US D820,836 S – shows a machine with a near full-face display.
The patent also includes drawings of a backside display – but without claiming said part of this device. This could mean the backside’s design will be revealed as a separate bit of patent application – which makes sense, given it’s unique nature. This sort of back-facing display could well find its way on to a number of other Samsung smartphones and tablets.
The back side of this device could function as a downtime clock – saving battery up front. It could work like a display solely for the purpose of seeing yourself in selfie photos. That’d eliminate the need for a camera up front entirely!
Imagine a world where selfie photos are so extremely central to the lives of consumers that a company like Samsung would include a display at the back of the phone, SOLELY for snapping said photos. This device is what Samsung will be promoting as the ultimate single device for all of your mobile needs, bridging the gap between smartphone and tablet, with a size that’s small enough to fit in your pocket yet large enough and brilliant enough to provide you with any and all of your interactive screen-based needs. In addition, this is the first device on the market to feature such a brilliant resolution and brightness with Samsung’s own brand new “HD Super AMOLED” at 1280×800 pixel WXGA resolution, 285ppi that is, on a cool 5.3-inch display – a new level of WOW factor at play in the Galaxy Note for sure.
No longer will you need (nor will you want) to carry along a phone, a tablet, a camera, a notepad, pen, and paper, nay! Now you’ve got the Samsung Galaxy Note – not stuck in one category as a smartphone or a tablet, this device is being marketed (very intelligently) as its own entity. Samsung showed true innovation by unveiling the Samsung Galaxy Fold. This phone is setting a standard by being the only working foldable phone being sold in the market. It has a huge 7.3-inch quad-HD screen that can fold into half, making it compact and easy to use and carry around. It has six cameras across the body of the phone and has a second screen on the front. This phone costs almost $2000, so this phone is not made for the general public. But if you’re lucky enough to own one, there are still a few great ways to personalize it. So here are some setting tweaks and tricks for the Samsung Galaxy Fold.
Enable Multitasking
Go into settings
Here, enable the Multi window tray option.
Once enabled, you can access the apps by swiping right from the screen to bring out the app tray
Then you can drag the apps onto the screen
By taking the time to set this up, you can enjoy using three apps at the same time. Incredible, right?
Customize the Keyboard LayoutTyping on this phone, especially on the smaller front screen, can be a pain due to its size. But there is a way to make that experience better. You can bring up the keyboard and tap on the settings icon. Next, go to the Keyboard layout and then the feedback option. Finally, you can tap on size so you can adjust the size of the keyboard. You can also enable a swipe to type feature on the smaller screen in the same settings. To do this, go to Smart typing and select Keyboard swipe controls and enable it there.
Continue Apps on the Small ScreenOne of the interesting features of this phone is that once you open an app on the front screen, you can continue using it on the big screen. But it doesn’t work the other way around at first. To change that, you can open the settings and tap on the display option. After that, hit the Continue apps on the front screen option. Now you can choose any supported app that can continue to open on the smaller screen after closing the main screen.
Fingerprint Sensor TweakIt can be difficult to bring down the notification panel since the notch is sort of in the way. A simple solution is to use the fingerprint sensor gesture to accomplish this task. To do that, head on over to settings, scroll down and tap on Advanced features.
