How To Make Your Ps4 Download Faster
PlayStation 4 is one of the fastest-selling game consoles of all time, but many first-generation consoles have a problem with their Wi-Fi card. The connection speed is typically slower than it should be, which is a problem when many games have download sizes of hundreds of gigabytes.
There are steps you can take to make games download faster on PlayStation 4. If you’re planning on downloading something like Red Dead Redemption 2, you will need the fastest speed possible.
Table of Contents
How to Make Your PS4 Download FasterHere’s how you can increase your PS4 download speed.
Use an Ethernet CableAn Ethernet cable is typically several times faster than Wi-Fi. A hardwired connection is more stable and circumvents the faulty Wi-Fi card in many of the earliest models of the PlayStation 4.
Move Your PlayStation Closer to The RouterDistance and interference greatly diminish the PlayStation’s Wi-Fi speed. If your PlayStation and router are in different rooms with multiple walls between them, you’ll see low speeds, sometimes less than a megabit per second.
Place the PlayStation 4 and the router in the same room with a direct line of sight for better results. Even placing the PlayStation 4 inside a cabinet can block the connection, and its download speeds will suffer.
Don’t Play Games While DownloadingWhen the PlayStation is downloading a new game or file, avoid playing anything on the console. Both single-player and multiplayer games can slow down the connection.
Anything involving a connection to the internet or sending large amounts of data will prioritize the download, and your gaming experience might suffer too.
Update Your PlayStationMake sure you have the latest version of the PlayStation operating system. Sony routinely releases updates that address problems within the console. The newest version of the operating system will patch any security flaws and can also improve download speeds.
Open your PlayStation 4’s menu and navigate to Settings.
Scroll down and select System Software Update.
If an update is available, you can start it from this screen. It will also tell you if your system is already up to date.
Use Rest Mode to Download While You Aren’t PlayingUse PlayStation 4’s rest mode to download games when you aren’t actively using the console. It’s the best way to keep content up to date without sacrificing playtime. Although this setting is on by default, you might need to re-enable your PlayStation to remain connected to the Internet while in rest mode so it can continue downloading games.
Open your PlayStation 4’s menu and navigate to Settings.
Scroll down to Power Save Settings.
Select Set Features Available in Rest Mode.
Select Stay Connected to the Internet.
Doing this will allow you to continue downloading applications while PlayStation 4 is in rest mode.
Change Your DNS SettingsDNS stands for Domain Name System. Simply, this is a collection of servers. Your PlayStation connects to your DNS automatically, but you can set specific DNS network addresses if your default connection doesn’t work. Many users have reported an increase in their download speeds when swapping to an alternate DNS.
Open your PlayStation 4’s menu and navigate to Settings.
Select Network.
Select Set Up Internet Connection.
Choose Use Wi-Fi or Use a LAN Cable.
Select Custom.
If you choose Wi-Fi, select the Wi-Fi network you want to use, then select Automatic.
Select Do Not Specify for DHCP Host Name.
Select Manual for DNS Settings.
Enter 8.8.8.8 for Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 for Secondary DNS.
Select Automatic for MTU settings.
Select Do Not Use for Proxy Server.
After entering these settings, restart your PlayStation 4 and perform an Internet speed test. It should be faster than before, as the primary and secondary DNS listed above are some of the most-used and most-recommended options for PlayStation 4 connections.
If you are downloading only a single title at a time and the download begins to slow down or stutter, you can pause the download and then resume it. If your connection weakens or drops, the PlayStation will throttle the download. Even if your connection resumes, your console may continue to use the lower speed.
Select a download and then select Pause.
Select the paused download and then select Resume, which forces the PlayStation to reconnect to the download server and increase the speed of that specific download.
You Will Love The Galaxy Buds, Until You Hate Them
Alongside its brand new flagships for 2023, the Galaxy S10 (and the Galaxy Fold), Samsung took the stage in San Francisco earlier this year to launch the Galaxy Buds — a kind of updated Gear IconX to compete against Apple’s AirPods, at a lower price. To make things even better, Samsung, in India, was offering people who buy the Galaxy S10 a chance to get the Galaxy Buds for a massively discounted price of Rs. 3000.
I’ve been using the Galaxy Buds for well over a month now, and I loved them. I really did. When I first received them from Samsung I loved using them all the time. You would’ve found me at my desk at work, the Galaxy Buds in my ears, bopping my head along to yet another song I found on Spotify (and later, on YouTube Music). If I was on a call at work, I’d most likely be taking the call on the Galaxy Buds.
And why not, right? They charge fast enough, they last long enough, and the tap functions work really well — they were the perfect pair of truly wireless earbuds.
That’s when the problems started.
Over time, I’ve noticed a bunch of things with the Galaxy Buds. Some of them were annoying but not exactly deal breakers, others, however, are downright stupid and had I known about them, I’d have bought the Mi AirDots Pro for myself from China and happily used them.
First off, connectivity issues. The Galaxy Buds had a ton of connectivity issues when they first came out. Samsung rolled out an update to fix those, and for the most part, they’re fixed. Still, however, every now and then, one of the two Buds will drop connection while you’re listening to music or taking a call, and you’ll end up having to take them both out, putting them back in the case. Opening the case again, and letting them connect to the phone again before getting back to whatever it is you were doing. That is annoying. It happens infrequently though, maybe like once in a week or two, and I can put up with it. I don’t want to, and I don’t think a pair of earphones priced at Rs. 10,000 should ever have an issue like that, but I convinced myself to put up with it.
The biggest problem though, and this is one I can not forgive ever, is the fact that the Galaxy Buds depend on the Samsung Gear app to work — that’s how you adjust the various settings for the Buds, that’s where you set up different tap gestures, adjust the ambient sound mode, and what not. That app, is also where you get firmware upgrades for the earbuds.
Firmware upgrades are good, they bring new features sometimes, but they almost always improve existing ones. I’m a sucker for a well updated piece of hardware. The problem is, if you’re using the Galaxy Buds, and an update comes in, the buds get disconnected. No warnings, nothing. One second you’ll be talking on a call, and all of a sudden radio silence, because the Buds disconnected and the call switched to the phone’s earpiece and mic.
I’m not saying this out of nowhere, I’ve used a bunch of other truly wireless earbuds, and while I really loved the Galaxy Buds, the Xiaomi AirDots Pro are currently the best truly wireless earbuds I’ve used with Android, and the AirPods are perfect with iOS, and decently good enough with Android.
So yeah, the Galaxy Buds are pretty amazing, until they aren’t, and personally, if you’re spending Rs. 10,000 on a pair of earphones, even the AirPods work better with Android, so maybe get those.

Amazon Web Services10 Websites That Will Teach You Programming For Free
Whether you want to learn for leisure, a hobby, or even for a career, programming can be a tough nut to crack. After all, it’s not like painting or writing where you can start with a blank page and do your best. Coding has its standards and methods that need to be taught before someone can create even the most basic of programs. Thankfully, with programming being vital in today’s computing world, free programming websites have appeared to help people get into this complex field.
Here are ten websites where you can hop in and study programming without paying a penny.
1. CodecademyCodecademy does what it says in the name – teaches you all about the basics of how to code. It does this through specific courses that you can sign up for, supplying you the materials to learn the subject of your choice. Codecademy has topics ranging from learning a specific language (HTML, Java, Python) to learning how to build a website. If you really enjoy Codecademy, you can purchase the premium plan which unlocks additional learning support.
2. edXWhile edX is a website that supplies all-purpose courses, it has a wide array of computer programming courses tucked away in its library. edX was founded by Harvard and MIT back in 2012, so you know you’ll be getting quality courses through here! Courses are either lead by an instructor or completed by yourself. Just search their library for “programming” to see their range, or use specific terms to find the courses you want.
3. MIT Open CoursewareSpeaking of MIT, why not access their pre-made course material online? You can search their libraries or browse the computer science section for relevant courses. There’s plenty out there, such as an introduction to Computer Science and a C++ primer, and they’re all free to use. It’s a little different from other free programming websites, as it’s downloading raw university materials rather than videos or articles. If you enjoy printing off course material and chewing it over in your spare time, this is a great option.
4. Khan AcademyIf you prefer a collection of videos you can peruse at your own pace, Khan Academy has what you’re looking for. Just browse their programming section and pick out what you like the looks of. The basic topics range from what programming is, through all the basic functions of programming, all the way to object-oriented programming.
5. UdemyWhile Udemy charges for its courses, it also supplies free ones for you to try. These can be done by selecting “Free” under the “Price” filter option when performing a search. Each course has a rating and a counter of how many people have taken it already, meaning you can locate the ones worth your precious time.
6. Free Code CampFree Code Camp has an interesting twist to it: You study coding online with them, and then after a period of about a year, you are then entitled to work on open-source projects for non-profits. The idea is that you can use the time and experience at Free Code Camp to translate into a real-world portfolio to help you land a job. Free Code Camp requires a GitHub account to be created during the registration process, so if you already have one, keep it on hand.
7. GitHub 8. The Code PlayerOut of all the free programming websites, The Code Player is a great choice for people who learn by example. Pick a course, and it will give you a line-by-line playback of someone constructing it out of code from scratch. Then, either code it yourself or copy the code for your own project. This makes for a great tool for people who learn by watching people perform, rather than being taught directly. Their HTML5 Snake game course is particularly impressive!
9. The Odin ProjectThe Odin Project is all about learning how to do web development. Its course gets you started with languages such as Ruby on Rails, HTML5, and Javascript, to name a few. What makes the Odin Project particularly interesting is that at the end it’ll give you some tips and pointers on how to land your first job as a web developer, making it an interesting choice for budding career developers.
10. Code WarsCode Wars is a great option for when you’ve learnt the basics from the above free programming websites and want somewhere to put your skills to the test and learn at the same time. You can take on a community-set challenge (called a “kata”) relevant to your coding skill and language. Code up your solution and submit it, then when the challenge expires, everyone’s solutions are revealed. You can then browse how everyone else tackled it and learn how you can improve yourself.
Free to CodeWith programming being a fantastic skill to learn in this current day, it’s also never been easier to start learning. You now have ten free programming websites you can learn from, without breaking the bank!
Do you want to learn to code? What languages are you learning? If you’re a veteran, how did you learn to code? Share your stories below!

20 Excel Keyboard Shortcuts That Will Impress Your Boss
Watch Video – 25 AWESOME Excel Keyboard Shortcuts (You Should Know)!
If you work with Excel day in and day out, Excel Keyboard Shortcuts can help you shorten your workday and save a lot of time.
Additionally, it also has the power to enchant your co-workers and boss into thinking you’re an Excel Wizard.
When I started my career as an analyst, I was completely in awe with one of my colleagues who was super-fast while working with Excel. He always seemed to have a keyboard shortcut for everything.
One day he told me his secret…
“You don’t need to know every shortcut. Just master the ones you need regularly and you’ll do awesome”.
Excel Keyboard ShortcutsIn this tutorial, I am sharing my top 20 Excel Keyboard shortcuts that can help you speed up your work and save a lot of time.
How to use interpret keyboard shortcuts: CONTROL + T would mean press the Control key and then press the T key. CONTROL T would mean hold the Control key and press the T key.
#1 Auto SumIf you have numbers in a column/row, you can quickly get the sum by using this Excel keyboard shortcut.
ALT = #2 Paste as ValuesWhen you copy and paste a cell or a range of cells, it also copies the value, the formula in it, and the formatting. If you only want to copy the values, use the following keyboard shortcut.
ALT + E + S + V + ENTERRead More:
#3 Fill DownThis one would help you while entering data in Excel.
Use it to copy the cell right above the active cell. Note that this would copy the contents, formulas, and formatting as well.
CONTROL D Also read: How to use Fill Handle in Excel #4 Select Entire Row/ColumnYou use the following shortcuts to select an entire row or column that contains the active cell.
To select the entire row:
SHIFT SPACEBARTo select the entire column:
CONTROL SPACEBARFor example, if cell B2 is selected, then Shift + Spacebar would select the second row and Control + Spacebar would select the second column.
#5 Delete Cells/Row/ColumnTo delete selected cells, rows, or columns, use the keyboard shortcut:
CONTROL -This opens the Delete dialog box, where you can select from the following options:
Shift cells left.
Shift cells up.
Delete Entire Row.
Delete Entire Column.
#6 Applying BorderTo quickly apply borders to the selected cells, use the keyboard shortcut:
ALT + H + B + ANote that this applies the “All Border” format, which means that all the cells get the border format. If you want to apply the Outline border only use ALT + H + B + S.
#7 Inserting a Comment SHIFT F2 #8 Insert Current Date and TimeThis keyboard shortcut can be used to quickly insert timestamps in cells.
To insert the current date, use the keyboard shortcut:
CONTROL ;To insert the current time, use the keyboard shortcut:
CONTROL SHIFT ; #9 Navigate Through WorksheetsIf you have a lot of worksheets in the workbook, it can drive you crazy to navigate through it.
Here is the keyboard shortcut that solves this problem.
To go to the previous worksheet:
CONTROL PAGEUPTo go to the next worksheet:
CONTROL PAGEDOWNNote that if you continue to hold the keys, it will keep on moving on to the previous/next worksheet.
#10 Apply FilterHere is a keyboard shortcut that would instantly apply data filter (or remove filters if it’s already applied):
CONTROL SHIFT L #11 Select Visible Cells OnlyLet me first tell you why this is important.
Suppose you have a list in Excel and you hide a few rows. Now if you copy the entire list and paste it somewhere else, it will copy all the cells (including the ones that are hidden, as shown below):
Note that a few rows in the original data set are hidden, but when you copy-paste it, even the hidden rows get copied.
If you don’t want this to happen, you first need to select only those cells that are visible. To do this, select the entire list and use the keyboard shortcut:
ALT ;Now when you copy it and paste it anywhere, you can be sure only the visible cells are getting copied.
#12 Freeze Top RowIf you work with a data set that is huge and spans across hundreds or thousands of rows and many columns, you’ll face the issue of the header disappearing when you scroll down. This often wastes a lot of time as you have to scroll back to see what a data point means.
Freezing rows and columns is the way to go in such cases.
Here are the shortcuts for freezing rows/columns:
To freeze the top row: ALT + W + F + R
Note that the top row gets fixed.
To freeze the first column: ALT + W + F + C
Note that the left-most column gets fixed.
If you want to freeze both rows and columns, select a cell above which you want to freeze rows (you can freeze more than one row), and to the left of which you want to freeze columns (could be one or more than one). For example, if you want to freeze the top two rows and one column to the left, select cell B3.
Now use the shortcut:
ALT + W + F + F #13 Opening Format Cells Dialogue BoxThis one is my favorite. If you want to change the formatting of a cell or range of cells, select the cells and use the keyboard shortcut:
CONTROL 1It’s a gateway to all the formatting you can do this Excel. It opens a dialog box where you have different tabs for different types of formatting.
#14 Start New Line in the Same CellSometimes, you may want to show the text/data in two or more than two rows in the same cell in Excel. For example, you may want to enter the address in a cell, but want the house numbers, street, city, state in different lines in the same cell.
To do this, place the cursor where you want to insert the line and use the keyboard shortcut:
ALT ENTER #15 Switch to Next WorkbookIf you’re working with multiple workbooks, you may need to switch between these workbooks. A popular shortcut to do this is ALT + TAB
But this would cycle through all the open applications. For example, if you have multiple applications open at the same time, such as a browser, PowerPoint, word, excel, skype, VLC, and so on, ALT + TAB would cycle through all these applications.
Instead, activate a workbook and then use the following shortcut to switch between open workbooks only.
CONTROL TAB #16 Insert HyperlinkTo insert a hyperlink in a cell, you need to open the Insert Hyperlink dialog box. The keyboard shortcut for this is:
CONTROL K #17 Insert BulletIf you want to insert bullets in Excel (in case you are creating a list), you can do that quickly by using a keyboard shortcut.
If you have a numeric keypad in your keyboard:
Select the cell in which you want to insert the bullet.
Hold the ALT key, Press 7 or 9, leave the ALT key.
As soon as you leave the ALT key, a bullet would appear.
If you do not have a numeric Keyboard (like my laptop), activate the NumLock first and then repeat the above steps (or try with ALT + FUNCTION + 7/9)
#18 Converting Tabular Data into Excel TableExcel Table is a must-use feature if you work with tabular data.
To quickly convert tabular data into an Excel Table, select the data (or select any cell in the data set) and use the keyboard shortcut:
CONTROL TThis will open the Create Table dialog box. While it automatically picks the range that needs to be converted, and in most cases it is correct, it’s a good practice to cross-check this.
#19 Spell CheckWhile most of the people work with data in Excel, if your work involves a bit of text as well, it’s a good practice to run spell-check before marking the work as final and sending across to your boss or client.
Unlike MS Word or PowerPoint, Excel would not show red lines below the words that are misspelled. However, if you run spell check, it will catch those errors.
To run spell check, simply hit the F7 key.
F7 #20 Open the VB Editor WindowWorking with VBA requires one to switch between the worksheet and the VB Editor.
To make a switch from Excel workbook to VB Editor, use the keyboard shortcut:
ALT F11These are my top 20 Excel keyboard shortcuts. I am sure you have some of your own too.
