Suggested March 2024 Play Playstation 4 Games On Mac (Or Windows) With Ps4 Remote Play
Want to play Playstation 4 games on your computer? Now you can thanks to PS4 Remote Play, available for Mac OS X (and Windows PC). The Remote Play app basically allows you to control the Playstation remotely from a computer, streaming a PS4 game from the Playstation 4 itself to the Mac or PC over a wi-fi or ethernet connection, allowing you to play whatever game is in the PS4, except on the computer.
Requirements are pretty straight forward for PS4 Network Play to work; you’ll need a PS4 console updated to the latest version of Playstation system software, a relatively new Mac or Windows PC with decent hardware, a broadband internet connection that is legitimately fast, with good local networking performance as well, a PS4 controller with USB cable, and a Sony account (like you use on the Playstation). Once you meet those requirements, the rest is easy:Playing Playstation 4 Games on Mac or PC with PS4 Remote Play
Be sure the Playstation 4 and computer are on the same local network and using the same router*
Go here to download the Remote Play app from chúng tôi and install the app on the computer
Enable Remote Play on the PS4 by going to Settings, then to ‘Remote Play Connection Settings’, and choosing to turn on “Enable Remote Play”
Connect the PS4 controller to the computer with a USB cable, then launch the PS4 Remote Play app and login with the Sony ID, the app will search for and connect to the Playstation and the PS4 or game screen will load in a moment
* After PS4 Remote Play has been setup, you can connect to the Playstation 4 remotely through WAN as well, assuming both the home and remote internet connections are sufficiently fast. Yes that means you can play a PS4 game at home, remotely from your Mac at work or school, assuming the bandwidth is sufficient.
PS4 Remote Play should load the game without issue and you’re ready to play it in windowed mode or full screen mode on the computer.Adjusting PS4 Remote Play Performance & Resolution
The PS4 Remote Play app allows you to adjust resolution and frame rate as needed through the Preferences, which also may impact performance depending on the computer and networking conditions. If the performance is suboptimal, reducing the resolution can benefit, whereas a fast network should be able to handle 720p gaming at a high frame rate without issue. For best results, be sure the network connections in use are strong with little interference, as a weak signal on wi-fi can cause performance issues.
If you have any problems with configuration or issues with the general setup, the previously linked chúng tôi article has a few troubleshooting tips, but generally speaking as long as the PS4 has been updated to the latest system version, the feature has been enabled, and the associated internet connections are solid, it should work just fine with minimal effort.
This is a particularly great option for Mac gamers to have access to a much larger gaming library, and if you already use a PS4 controller on the Mac you may as well go a step further and setup PS4 Remote Play to play the games in Mac OS X as well. Perhaps a similar app will be made available for Playstation 3 and Xbox One?

Get ready to stream PS4 and PS5 games through Remote Play
PlayStation fans are in for a lot of surprises in the near future.
3D audio support for built-in TV speakers.
Another thing to look forward to is the M.2 SSD Expansion.
You can now stream PS5 games using the PS Remote Play app.
Sony is about to release a major firmware update for the PlayStation 5 and the company announced updates for both the PS Remote Play and PS App, with the former looking at a big update tomorrow.
So, the big news that everyone was waiting for is that Remote Play will finally support streaming PS4 and PS5 games over mobile data.
Prior to this, the console, as well as PS Remote Play were limited to work only over broadband. However, that’s all about to change and this is absolute music for all ears. You can now stream your favorite PS5 games via Remote Play
The PS app itself will be updated on September 23rd with support for sharing screen broadcasts together from the app.
iOS users will be the first ones to receive this update, with the Android one set to roll out over the week. Here’s how you enable mobile data for remote play:
Access the Mobile Data settings menu on your mobile device, make sure it’s enabled, then select Video quality for streaming.
Select Best (For PS5 and PS4 Pro only).
Enjoy your favorite game.
Broadband internet with at least 5Mbps is required for PS Remote Play, so keep this in mind if you want to try it.
For the best experience, we recommend a high-speed connection with upload and download speeds of at least 15 Mbps.
And to help manage the amount of data used through a mobile connection, players can select their preferred video quality for mobile data streaming, as we’ve shown you above.
Also, remember that the quality and connectivity of your Remote Play experience may vary depending on your mobile carrier network and network environment.
Through the PS5 September update, players also receive support to experience 3D audio through their built-in TV speakers.
Once this feature is enabled in the Sound menu, it transforms standard two-channel TV speaker audio into three-dimensional sound, heightening the sense of gameplay immersion.
Gamers can measure the acoustics of their room using the microphone on their DualSense wireless controller to apply the 3D audio setting that’s optimized for their room.
PS5 players around the globe can expand their storage capacity with an M.2 SSD, a type of high-speed solid-state drive that can be installed in the console or PS5 Digital Edition console.
Once installed in your device, the M.2 SSD storage can be used to download, copy, and launch PS5 and PS4 games, as well as media apps.
You can play PS5 and PS4 games directly from M.2 SSD storage and freely move games between storage options.
However, the M.2 SSDs must meet the minimum performance and size requirements outlined by the manufacturer.
Using this addition also requires effective heat dissipation with a cooling structure (such as a heatsink) that meets the dimensional requirements.
Lots to be excited about if you are a PlayStation user, with a lot of new features and new games on the way.
But Xbox die-hard fans also have reasons for joy, as they can use their Xbox Series X/S consoles to stream to PCs,

Snapchat has always been a fun social platform to hang out on. Its ‘stories’ feature has been a cornerstone of its success, copied by almost all major social media platforms, from Instagram to Facebook to YouTube, you name it. But Snapchat has never shied away from experimenting a little now and then to offer new fun ways to interact with your buddies. A result of that experimentation is Snap Games. What are they, and how can you start playing them? Here’s all you need to know.
What are Snap Games?
In 2023, Snapchat entered the gaming space with its own set of games, aptly titled Snap Games. Just as with Facebook games, you can easily invite friends to play games that are available on your device.
At first, there were only a handful of Snap games to choose from. But now there are more than two dozen exciting titles – from Bitmoji Tennis to Bitmoji Paint to Subway Surfers Airtime to Zombie Rescue Squad, there’s a big list to keep you entertained for hours.

How to start a Snap game
If you’ve been getting major FOMO looking at your friends competing against each other on Snap Games, then it’s about time you got off your snobby glasses and got your hands dirty. Follow the steps below to start a game with your friend.
Open Snapchat and swipe right to get to the chat screen. Alternatively, you can tap on the chat icon at the bottom.
Tap on a chat or a group chat.
Now, tap on the rocket icon at the bottom right of the chat screen.
This will open up a list of games that you can choose from. Tap on a game to start playing.

Of course, you can just start playing a game yourself (and get used to it early). But the fun starts only when you’re competing against your friends.
As soon as you launch a game, all those who’re in the chat will get a notification to join on their phones.
Furthermore, they’ll also receive a message in Snapchat itself that you’ve started a game.
Your friends need only to tap on the game icon inside the chat to join you in the game.
Conversely, if one of your friends start a game in the chat, you’ll be notified about it so you can jump right in. If someone gets left out, you can ‘ring’ them to let them know that you’ve started a game. To do so, tap on the three horizontal lines at the bottom of the game screen.
Then tap on Ring.
Your friend(s) will now get a notification about the game.
Chat while playing Snap Games
It’s easy to one-up your friends and get right into their faces if you’re playing next to each other. But if you are playing remotely, you can still let them know what you think of their gaming skills by turning on live audio chat.
Tap on the microphone icon to start a live audio chat.
Tap on it again when you want to stop the audio.
If you want to send a short voice message, tap and hold the microphone icon while talking and let go when you’re done recording.
Don’t worry if you’re getting your ass kicked, or be concerned that others in the chat (who’re not in the game) might see your ugly side. In-game chats do not show up in chats outside the game.

Turn off Game Audio
Snap Games are visually quite arresting, but some games tend to have audio that is no better than casino slot machines blaring noises in your ears. To ensure that you keep playing peacefully, here’s how you can turn off the audio.
In the game, tap on the three horizontal lines at the bottom and to open Game options.
Tap on Game Audio to toggle it off.
Finished playing a game? It’s a cinch to exit and get back to snapping as usual. Just press the back button on your phone (or use the back gesture) and tap on Leave Game.
Any game items that you’ve earned in the game will be saved automatically, such as coins, weapons, outfits, etc. However, your game progress or level may not always be saved.
Want to find out how you measure up against your friends, or even globally? Some games have leaderboards where you’ll be able to find that out. The more you play, the better you’ll become, and the higher up on the leaderboard you’ll be.
If your game has a leaderboard button, tap on it to find out where you stand (in Aquapark, for instance, it looks like a podium).
Each game’s leaderboard will look different. The leaderboard for Aquapark shows us how you’ve done in recent games.
Share your score
Then tap on Send My Score at the bottom of the screen.
Then choose which friends you’d like to share your Snap Game score with and tap on the Send icon at the bottom right corner.
Hide your score
If you’d rather hide your embarrassing scores (like ours) from your friends, go back to View your recent score on the leaderboard, then tap on the three dots at the top of the leaderboard screen.
Tap on Turn off Sharing at the bottom of the screen.
Then tap Hide Scores From Friends.
Alternatively, you can open up Game Options from the bottom (three horizontal lines).
Then tap on Hide Scores from Friends to toggle it on.

Turn off Snap Game notifications
There are bound to be a few friends in the group chat that just won’t stop playing, and the constant notifications that you get can quickly become annoying. Well, here’s how you can turn off their Snap Game notifications.
Swipe right from the Camera screen, or tap on the chat icon at the bottom.
Tap on your friend’s/group’s Bitmoji icon and open their profile.
Now, tap on the three-dot menu at the top right corner.
Then tap on Mute Game and Mini notifications.
Tap on Mute.
If you want to unmute later, go to the same option and tap on unmute.
Why can’t I play Snapchat games?
If you’re sure that your Snapchat is up to date, then the problem may be with the device that you’re on. Some Snap Games may not be available on some devices, especially old ones. You may have to change your device or try launching a different game.
Continuously snapping and maintaining streaks can get tedious after a while. But Snap Games ensure that you don’t have a single solitary boring moment when you’re on Snapchat.
This guide to playing SteamVR games on the Oculus Quest 2 has been divided based on the various types of connections you can use. Depending on if you prefer the wired or wireless method, use the table below to jump to the needed section.Things You Need for SteamVR on Oculus Quest 2
While the process to run SteamVR games on the Quest 2 is easy enough, there are a couple of requirements that you should know about. Some of these are extremely important so make sure to go through them before beginning.1. A VR Ready PC
It’s no secret that running virtual reality games and applications requires a good amount of graphical and processing power. Depending on the type of games you plan on playing, this requirement may be more. The Oculus app, the software responsible for letting you play PC games on your Quest 2, has certain requirements. You can head on over to Facebook’s official Quest 2 compatibility page to find out if your system qualifies. Also do be aware that as time passes, these requirements may change accordingly.2. Oculus App 3. Oculus Link Cable or Other Fast Type C Cable
Oculus Quest 2 users looking to hook up their VR set to the PC for Steam will need a cable. The official Oculus Link Cable ($79) is the best option if you’re willing to spend the money. It is a fast and long transmission cable that will see you walk easily around with your set on while it’s connected to the PC. However, if that seems too expensive, you can just buy a compatible Oculus Quest 2 cable that supports high data and video transfer. Furthermore, make sure that the cable you do get is suitably long (15ft or more) so you don’t feel restricted while you play. You will find many good cables online.4. Installing SteamVR on PC
Last but definitely not least, we will need SteamVR (Free) itself to make things happen. The SteamVR software itself can be easily found in the Steam Store and it is fairly small in size. Once you download it, simply let it install and keep reading. We will need it a bit later on in the process. Also make sure, that whichever VR games you’ve bought have been installed and are ready to go.How to Set up Quest 2 for SteamVR Games (Wired)
We will first begin with the wired way of connecting the Oculus Quest 2 to our PC. Before we begin, make sure the Oculus Quest 2 has been connected to your PC using the cable and you have opened the Oculus app. Once done, follow the steps below.Allowing SteamVR on the Oculus Quest 2 Running SteamVR
1. Open the Steam app on your PC.Running a Game on SteamVR in Oculus Quest 2
While the layout of SteamVR is very easy to understand, we will teach you how to go about starting a game in SteamVR so you may get used to it. Follow the steps below to do so:
2. From the next menu that appears, select Store or Library depending on your preference. How to Set up Quest 2 for SteamVR Games (Using FB Air Link)
Now before we begin with the wireless method, do keep in mind that it won’t be as reliable as the wired one since wireless connectivity is involved. Thankfully, Facebook provides its free Air Link service for users to play SteamVR games wirelessly. However, there are some additional requirements that you must meet before you begin. Keep in mind the following:1. An AC or AX Router with 5GHz Network 2. A Fully Charged Oculus Quest 2
Now that you have the above in mind, let’s begin with setting up the wireless method.Enable Air Link on PC and Quest 2
Since Facebook Air Link still counts as an experimental feature, it must be enabled on both your PC and the Quest 2 separately. We will begin with PC. Follow the steps below to do so:
And you’re done. Now let’s move on to the Oculus Quest 2.Enable Air Link on Quest 2
1. From the main menu, tap on ‘Quick Settings‘.
2. Tap on the ‘Settings‘ option on the top right. How to Turn on Air Link on the Oculus Quest 2
Now let’s begin by making one final pairing and launching Facebook Air Link on the Quest 2. Follow the steps below to do so:
1. From the main menu, open tap the ‘Quick Settings‘ button.
2. From the next menu that appears, tap on ‘Oculus Air Link‘.Alternative to Air Link: Virtual Desktop
While Facebook Air Link is a good solution to playing SteamVR games wirelessly, that isn’t to say there aren’t alternatives. A famous third-party app called Virtual Desktop works in the same way as Air Link. Virtual Desktop allows users to basically stream their PC onto the Quest 2 to control from there. Users can also launch their SteamVR or other VR games by using Virtual Desktop.
However, do be aware that Virtual Desktop is a paid software and requires users to download both a PC client and an Oculus Quest 2 one. Like Air Link, the performance in VD will vary depending on your network and hardware configurations. However, if you want to still try it out, sit tight because we have a complete guide for virtual desktop on the way.Enjoy SteamVR Games on Your Oculus Quest 2
If you’re bored and your conversations with your friends seem to have hit a lull, why not play a game? If two users are both using iMessage, there are a lot of different games available.
If you aren’t sure what to play, we’ve rounded up the best iMessage games and figured out how to play them, during those slow moments.
Table of Contents
GamePigeon is a great way to get a huge selection of iMessage games all in one place. You can play games like 8 Ball, Sea Battle (which is just a reskinned Battleship), Basketball, Archery, Darts, and much more.
GamePigeon is free to play, but there are several microtransactions within the game itself for things like new patterns in Paintball and 8 Ball.
All you have to do is download Game Pigeon from the App Store and then select the game you want to play from the menu within iMessage. It will send an invite to the other person. Once they accept, the fun begins.Moji Bowling [Not available in certain regions]
Moji Bowling is a great two-player option for when you want to scratch that bowling itch but can’t make it to the bowling alley. The game is just as cute as it is fun, with bowling balls and pins that come alive with emotion as you play. Controlling it is simple: you just pull back on the ball and let it fly, swiping either left or right to add spin.
Moji Bowling is a free download in the app store, but you don’t have to have two players to enjoy it. The game includes a solo mode where you can practice your game before you challenge your best friends to an iMessage bowling tournament.
Sure, GamePigeon has a form of Mini Golf, but it isn’t as expansive as Mr. Putt. The game has four different courses to play, each with a different theme. None of the shots are straightforward and require you to bank shots off the wall and pull other tricks to sink the shot with as few strokes as possible.
Like other iMessage games, all that is required to play Mr. Putt is to download the game first and then select it from the iMessage menu.Simple Trivia [Not available in certain regions]
There are a lot of trivia games available on iOS, but few offer a true challenge—or are completely playable within iMessage. Simple Trivia is different. It presents multiple-choice questions from categories like history, pop culture, and more. You only have a few seconds to answer each question, so cheating and Googling the answer isn’t possible.
The point of Simple Trivia is to answer more questions correctly than your opponent. Like other iMessage games, there is nothing to get it started. Just download the game from the App Store and start playing this iMessage game.Truth Truth Lie [No longer available]
Truth Truth Lie is a new spin on a classic game. The premise is that you make two true statements about yourself (or anything) and one false statement, and the other players have to guess which is the false statement. While it’s a great party game, it’s also a lot of fun to play with just one other person.
On the other hand, you may have to get creative with your statements if you’re playing with someone who knows you well. Truth Truth Lie lets you record videos of yourself if you don’t want to type out the statements, too. Just download it from the store and give it a try.
Cobi Arrows is a bit of a unicorn in the world of iMessage games. While most iMessage-focused games are casual, Cobi Arrows has a steep learning curve that makes it worth replaying over and over again. While the game can be played just for fun, it holds appeal for more hardcore gamers, too.
The goal is simple: fire as many arrows and score as many points as possible within the 30-second time limit. The reticle moves across the screen as you press and hold. To release the arrow, just remove your finger. It sounds easy, but scoring a bullseye takes a bit of practice.
Cobi Arrows is free to play, but there are other game modes you can unlock by watching a video or by paying for the mode.
Qiktionary is a simplified version of a word-guessing game. You are given a specific four-letter word to figure out. You guess different four-letter words and note which letters are marked. An indicator on the side tells you how many letters in your word are correct.
You win through a process of elimination. By slowly narrowing down which letters are correct and those that aren’t, you can determine what the mystery word is. It helps to have a large vocabulary, but it isn’t strictly necessary.
iMessage is a great tool for staying in touch and keeping yourself entertained. Give a few of these games a try and find out which one is your favorite. A lot of them rival larger games on the App Store for entertainment value.
