Suggested January 2024 Jailbreak Tweaks Of The Week: App Center, Falcon, Reformx, & More…

It’s been pretty busy in the jailbreak community these last couple of weeks, mostly due to the release of the Yalu iOS 10 jailbreak just a few weeks ago, but no one around here is complaining about that!

In this roundup, we’ll be summarizing all of the jailbreak tweaks that we showed you this week, just in case you think you might have missed anything important. We’ll start with our favorites and then move on to the rest afterwards.

Our favorite releases this week

App Center – $3.99

App Center is fun new jailbreak tweak that adds running apps into their own individual pages of Control Center.

It utilizes up to nine of your recently-used apps and lets you use them in windowed mode so you can easily swipe between them for faster app multitasking.

To learn more about how the tweak works, we highly suggest reading our full review to see all of its features.

Falcon – $1.49

Falcon adds a number of new features to your Lock screen and to Notification Center by way of additional pages.

Among the things it can add are a page for toggles, a page for web browsing, and a page for jotting down quick notes. You can even secure your toggles with Touch ID so that only you can mess with them.

To learn more about what Falcon has to offer, check out our full review.

Kaze – FREE

Kaze brings one of the most popular ways to multitask from Auxo into a standalone jailbreak tweak.

By swiping up from your select ‘hot corner,’ you can easily access any of your recently used apps without ever lifting your finger from your display. When you do, the app you had selected will launch.

To learn more about Kaze, you can read our full review.

ReformX – FREE

ReformX is another jailbreak tweak that is worth checking out, mostly because it lets you change up your Home screen any way you’d like to.

Free of cost, this is like a lite version of Springtomize, and lets you change up your Home screen, dock, and folder icons any way you like, among many other miscellaneous settings.

Anyone who is into deep customization of their devices should check this tweak out, and we have a full review you can check out if you’re interested in learning more about it.

Spin10 – $0.99

Spin10 is a great tweak for changing up the way your Lock screen looks when you have music playing on your device.

Instead of the normal blocky Now Playing interface that normally shows up, Spin10 takes a much rounder approach to things by bringing circular album artwork, circular buttons, and even a circular song scrubber to your Lock screen.

You can read more about Spin10 in our full review.

Jailbreak Tweaks Of The Week: 3Dapplock, Iconizer, & More…

Since the launch of the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak from Pangu, Cydia has been surging with new jailbreak tweak releases. The change in atmosphere has brought an end to the drought, at least for now.

In this roundup, we’ll talk about all of the jailbreak tweaks that were released this week, starting with our favorites and then moving on to the rest.

Our favorites this week 3DAppLock – $1.49

With 3DAppLock, you can lock your apps from being launched by using a 3D Touch gesture on them from the Home screen. You can then require that the user uses Touch ID or a preset passcode to authenticate themselves before the app can be opened.

This is a feature that is particularly useful for those of you who want to let people use your device, but don’t want them opening personal apps, such as Facebook or Twitter.

The tweak works with other tweaks like RevealMenu to allow you to use it on non-3D Touch devices as well. For more information about how 3DAppLock works, check out our full review.

Iconizer – $1.99

Iconizer lets you add as many trippy effects as you want to the Home screen in various ways.

Among the things you can play with are effects for the Home screen app icons, the app icon images themselves, the app icon labels, and you can even change the effects of the Dock as well.

This tweak is very in-depth and to learn more about it, we suggest heading over to our full review to see what’s possible with it.

Genous – $1.99

For those of you who want the perfect app icon spacing and custom amount of rows and columns of apps on the Home screen, Genous has you covered.

With this tweak, you can easily adjust all the aforementioned qualities of the Home screen to make it easier for you to have Home screen-based widgets, or to make it easier to see a pleasant wallpaper behind your apps.

For minimalists, the tweak is also convenient for un-cluttering your Home screen.

You can read our full review on Genous to learn more about what it’s capable of and how to use it.

Other releases this week

AlwaysTouch: Unlock using Touch ID even if you don’t have a passcode (free – review)

Jailbreak Tweaks Of The Week: Airdropconfirm, Audicy, Swipeextenderx, And More…

Dealing with this COVID-19 situation has been tough for many, but at least you can spend your free time tinkering with your jailbroken iPhone or iPad.

In this roundup, we’ll discuss all the latest jailbreak tweaks to be released from Monday, March 30th to Sunday, April 5th. As usual, we’ll kick things off by discussing our favorite releases first and then wrap things up with an outline of the rest afterward.

Our favorite releases this week AirDropConfirm – FREE

Not to hate on AirDrop, but it can be a little too easy to share files with someone else by accident. That’s because it only takes one tap to initiate a file transfer, and there really isn’t a way to cancel that transfer.

AirDropConfirm is a new and free jailbreak tweak that solves this problem by adding a confirmation message to the AirDrop interface. In doing so, you have to specifically confirm that you want to send a file before you do.

You can learn more about AirDropConfirm and how to get it in our full review.

Audicy – $3.49

Audicy is a useful utility for jailbroken devices that lets users import media to their handset’s native libraries, including Music, Videos, Podcasts, Ringtones, and Camera Roll without the use of a computer.

The tweak integrates seamlessly into iOS’ native share sheet and downloading system, allowing users to trim media, add metadata, and import without so much as a hitch.

You can learn more about Audicy and how it works in our full review.

SwipeExtenderX – $2.49

The iPhone has one of the best software keyboards in the smartphone industry, but there’s always room for improvement. You may not feel like there’s need for improvement, however, until you catch a glimpse of a new jailbreak tweak called SwipeExtenderX.

This tweak integrates more than 20 new features into iOS’ native keyboard interface, allowing for useful shortcuts that can make text-editing and general texting easier on a smaller screen.

You can learn more about SwipeExtenderX and how it works in our full review.

Some Of The Best Jailbreak Tweaks For Getting Ios 16 Features On Ios 14

Apple is poised to release iOS & iPadOS 16 this Fall, with iOS 16 likely dropping a few weeks ahead of iPadOS 16. These updates will introduce a lot of intriguing new features to Apple’s mobile device lineup, but if you’re jailbroken on iOS or iPadOS 14, then you may not need to wait to use them.

In today’s roundup, iDB will be showcasing what we believe are some of the best jailbreak tweaks for porting iOS & iPadOS 16 features to jailbroken iOS & iPadOS 14 devices. Some of these have been expressly made to mimic iOS & iPadOS 16, while others existed long before the software update’s initial announcement earlier this Summer.

So without any further ado, let’s jump right into the fun and show you how you can get more of an iOS & iPadOS 16-like experience on your jailbroken iOS & iPadOS 14 device:

The best jailbreak tweaks to port iOS 16 features to pwned iOS 14 devices Helix – FREE

Once installed, users will find their Lock Screen to be almost as customizable as a true iOS 16 device, despite being jailbroken and using an older firmware version.

Those interested in learning more about Helix should read more about it and where it can be obtained from in our full review post.

PLBattery – FREE

Everyone knows by now that iOS 16 finally gives notched iPhone users the ability to display their numeric battery percentage in the Status Bar, something that non-notched handsets have enjoyed since the iPhone X first debuted.

If you have no plans of upgrading to iOS 16 this Fall because jailbreaking is more important to you, then we definitely understand, and the PLBattery jailbreak tweak can provide a similar experience on pwned iOS 14 devices.

You can find out more about PLBattery and how it works in our full review post.

HiddenLock14 – FREE

A feature that should have been present in all versions of iOS since the dawn of the Hidden album in the Photos app is the ability to secure it with authentication. Fortunately, Apple is bringing us this security measure with iOS 16.

HiddenLock14 is a free jailbreak tweak that brings the same feature to pwned iOS 14 devices, compelling jailbreakers to authenticate themselves before entering the Hidden album. The benefit, of course, is that not just anybody can go into your hidden Photos.

You can find out more about HiddenLock14 and how it works in our full review post.

Echo – FREE

Echo is a jailbreak tweak that brings an iOS 16-inspired Now Playing widget interface to jailbroken iOS 14 devices.

You can find out more about Echo and how it works in our full review post.

Live Activities – $2.99

Live Activities is a jailbreak tweak that brings the spirit of iOS 16’s informative activity-based widgets to the Lock Screen, allowing you to see live information from your favorite sources.

While the APIs for many of iOS 16’s live activity interfaces aren’t present for iOS 14 users, this tweak does offer interfaces for things such as alarms, timers, music, calendars, reminders, and stopwatches l, among other things.

You can learn all about Love Activities and what you can do with it in our full review post.

NetworkList – FREE

With the iOS 16 software update, users can finally view previously-entered Wi-Fi passwords from the comfort of their own device. But this is something you can also do if you’re jailbroken.

With the NetworkList jailbreak tweak, you can look back at previously-connected Wi-Fi networks and see what passwords were used to log into them. This will make it easier to log other devices in when you forget (or didn’t know) what was entered before.

You can learn more about NetworkList and how it works in our full review post.

TappyKeyboard – FREE

Haptic feedback is finally an option starting with iOS 16, which means you’ll feel a small vibration when tapping on keyboard keys.

The TappyKeyboard jailbreak tweak brings the same haptic feedback to pwned iOS 14 devices, making it possible to feel the same vibrations without updating your firmware and losing your valuable jailbreak.

You can learn more about TappyKeyboard and how it works in our full review post.

Exiwall – $2.49

Another excellent new feature of the iOS 16 Lock Screen is how it adds depth to the wallpaper by bringing the subject of the photo up and above the Lock Screen’s date and time display.

This same effect can be achieved on jailbroken handsets with the Exiwall jailbreak tweak, which supports even hardware that Apple wouldn’t support on iOS 16.

You can find out more about Exiwall and what you can do with it in our full review post.

DockSearch – FREE

You’re going to be able to do more with your Home Screen Dock starting with iOS 16 — namely, you can initiate device searches to find files or data that you might be looking for.

With DockSearch, you can have a similar user experience on the Home Screen of your jailbroken iOS 14 device, which gives you a little more synchronicity with the latest software update.

You can learn everything you need to know about DockSearch, including where you can get it from, in our full review post.

Conclusion

That just about wraps up today’s list, but as we continue to review new jailbreak tweak releases, we’re sure this list will only continue to expand with more options in the future.
