You might be trying to sign into a website believing you have saved your password, but nothing is popping up. On the other hand, you may simply want to take a look at your stored passwords to do some updating and cleanup.

Accessing your saved passwords in Safari depends on your device.

View Saved Safari Passwords on iPhone and iPad

Open the

Settings

app on your iPhone or iPad and select

Passwords

Verify your identity using your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.

You’ll then see a list of your passwords. You can use the

field at the top to find a specific website.

Select a website to view your login credentials. To see the masked password, simply tap it. You also have the option to copy the password when you tap it.

Note: In the images below, iOS does not display passwords, masked or otherwise, when taking screenshots.

Open Safari on your Mac.

Select the

tab.

Enter your macOS password or use your Apple Watch to unlock the tab.

You’ll see a list of your passwords on the left side. If you want to find one in particular, use the

box at the top.

Choose a website in the list, and you’ll see the login credentials on the right. Hover your cursor over the masked password to view it. To copy it, select the password and pick Copy Password.

You can change a username and password in Safari in two different ways on your Apple devices. First, you can edit the current credentials if you’ve changed them outside Safari. Second, you can use the password manager in Safari to visit a website and change your password there.

Select a website with the saved password from your list. If you changed your credentials somewhere other than Safari, tap Edit to change them here.

Enter the new username or password in the corresponding fields and tap Done to save them.

To change your credentials, tap Change Password on Website. You’ll be taken to the website in a pop-up window. Log in as usual and then navigate to your profile to change your username or password, depending on the site.

Safari to update the saved username and password, select Save Password.

If you want to change your credentials from this spot, select the Change Password on Website button. This opens Safari to that website, where you can log in and change your username or password, depending on the site.

When you select the second option above and make your changes, a Safari prompt asks if you’d like to update the existing username or password. Select Update Password to do so.

Once you enable the feature on your Apple device, you’ll see any passwords that need attention. From there, you can opt to change a password as described above.

You enable this feature in the same location where you view Safari passwords.

On macOS, you’ll turn on this feature in the same spot where you view your Safari passwords.

What is sensitive content on Twitter?

As mentioned earlier, there is a wide range of content available on Twitter. There are times when users share media that depict violence or adult content which might be sensitive content to some users. As the social media giant moderates this content, it ensures to hide it from searches and marks it as sensitive so that it is displayed to you at your discretion.

Twitter also restricts adult content to users who are below the age of 18 or users who haven’t added their birth date to their profile. Twitter groups sensitive media into the following categories:

Please note that you cannot enable the setting that lets you view sensitive content by default using the Twitter app for iPhone. This is because the setting is not displayed or, so to say, not available within the iPhone app. In this case, iPhone and Mac users need to follow very similar steps to enable the “Display media that may contain sensitive content” setting. Here’s how:

Open Safari or any web browser and log in to your Twitter account.

Navigate to Settings and Support.

How to allow sensitive content in searches on Twitter

Content that is marked as sensitive and accounts that frequently post sensitive content do not appear under searches by default. This is because the Hide Sensitive Content setting is enabled by default within the privacy settings of your account. If you would like to disable this setting, follow the steps listed below.

If you use an Apple ID on your Mac, you can activate a feature called iCloud Keychain to create a cloud-based copy of your passwords on the Apple servers. You can also use it to sync them across devices within the Apple ecosystem (such as the iPhone and iPad). But most importantly, it helps you restore your login info if you reinstall macOS, switch to a new Mac, or reset your Mac’s admin password.

1. Open the System Preferences app on your Mac.

2. Select Apple ID.

Note: If you’ve yet to sign in to your Mac with an Apple ID, use the Sign in with Apple ID option instead and enter your Apple ID credentials.

Or, you can keep it as a backup and re-add the login details to your default keychain if you lose it.

Warning: The plain-text CSV file that Safari generates will have no encryption, so anyone can be open and view its contents. Make sure to delete the file after importing it to another password manager or store it in a secure location.

2. Switch to the Passwords tab. Then, enter your Mac’s admin password or authenticate yourself using Touch ID.

3. Select the More icon (three dots) at the bottom-left corner of the Passwords window and pick the Export Passwords option.

4. Select Export Passwords again on the confirmation pop-up.

5. Specify a save destination for the CSV file and select Save.
