The first thing you need to get started with Instagram Reels is an active Instagram account. You can create private and public Reels on the platform.
Private Reels are visible to those who follow your Insta account, whereas Public Reels get recommended to others who watch Reels. Besides, Instagram uses a few algorithms to shortlist Reels and put them under the ‘Featured’ label.
Part 1 – Set up your Instagram Reel videoIn this step, you have to select a few aspects of your Instagram Reels, such as the music you want to use, the video’s playback speed, and the filters you want to put. To do this,
Open the Instagram app on your smartphone.
You can see a video icon on the bottom-left part of the screen, next to the Home button. Tap on that Camera icon to launch Instagram Reels.
This would open an Instagram Reels video recommended to you by the algorithm. We would ignore that for a moment. Now, tap on the Camera icon that you would see on the top-right side.
By now, you would be in the Recording interface for Instagram Reels. Before you start recording the video, you have got an option to edit the following options:
Length: You can choose between 15 and 30 seconds as the length of the video.
Audio: If you want to choose popular background audio for the video, you can do it from the menu. If you would like to add your original voice, you can skip this option.
Speed: You can also change the playback speed of your Reels to anywhere between .5x to 4x. So, you have options if you want a fast-paced video or something ultra-slow-motion.
Effects: As we do on Instagram stories and videos, you can select a suitable effect on Reels. You can choose between visual effects, voice changers, and other types of AR filters from the vast library.
Timer: Instagram Reels also lets you set up a timer for the video. If you do this, you will have to handle a few seconds’ delays when recording the video.
Once you have set these up, you are ready to record the Instagram Reels.
Part 2 – Record and edit your Instagram Reel video
To record the Instagram Reels video, you have to tap and hold the Record button in the middle. Depending on the duration you had selected, you can record for 15 or 30 seconds.
Once you have recorded the content, you can now make a variety of changes to the video. For instance, you can add stickers, emojis, and texts to the video as an overlay.
After you have finalized the video content and stickers, Instagram would show you a quick preview of the Reels video. On the bottom-right portion, there is also an option to adjust the length and trim the video.

Part 3 – Publish your Instagram Reel video

What Is Instagram Reels And How To Get It?
In a bid to fill the gap left by TikTok, while countries decide on its fate, Facebook-owned Instagram is launching a new feature called ‘Instagram Reels’. The feature will be available within the Instagram app itself. Instagram is banking on its millions of users, plus those that have converted from TikTok, to make the new feature an instant hit.
What is Instagram Reels?
Well, there’s no two ways about it. TikTok is in trouble, and its users are defecting to other apps. In the wake of this turmoil, Instagram is stepping up its game to bring users a place to create short videos, in a TikTok like fashion.
Instagram Reels will be added as a function within the Instagram app itself, so users will not need to download any other app. The function will be available on the camera page of the app. Users will be able to create short videos up to 15 seconds in length. Reels also lets you choose the length of the video beforehand, eliminating the need to trim it down later.
Like other apps in its genre, Reels comes loaded with a music library and customization in the way of stickers and filters.

How to access Instagram Reels
Instagram is adding this new feature to the camera page in the app. It will be in line with other previous features like Boomerang, Live, and Superzoom. To access Reels, simply launch the Instagram app and swipe right. This is will bring you to the camera tab.
Now, using the bottom panel, scroll to ‘Reels’. It should be between ‘Create’ and ‘Normal’.

How to create Instagram Reels
To create a Reel, open the Instagram app, and then tap the camera button in the top right. Now, tap REELS at the bottom of the screen.
Now, you can record a 15-second video of your Reel. You can also upload a video from your device’s storage (gallery/camera roll), and it could be multiple separate clips adding up to maximum 15 seconds. Tap the arrow button when done with adding effects, text, and other stuff. You also use the timer feature.
Add the hashtags and caption, and then tap the Share button to share the Reel to both in Explore and your feed. To disable sharing in feed, unselect the ‘Also Share to Feed’ checkbox.
You can also share a Reel as a DM or story.

How to watch Reels
It’s simple. Open the Instagram app and then tap the Explore button in the bottom row — it’s a search icon, second from the left. Now, you have a collection of photos and all, including Reels, as selected for you by the app’s AI. On the Reels posts, you will see a video icon.
Tap on the Reels post to view it. Now, just swipe up to check out next Reel, and so one. Swiping down will get you the previous Reel. It’s TikTok-like, yes.
Where do your Reels go?
Instagram will be adding a new tab to your profile page, to better display your Reel videos. When you create and post a video using Instagram Reels, your video will be accessible from your profile page.
The new tab will be added between your Feed and Tagged images. This shows how confident Instagram is that the new feature will take off. This is the first major redesign of the app in quite a long time. To view all your Reels, go to your profile and tap on the new ‘Reels’ tab.
Instagram Reels vs. TikTok
Let’s talk about some of the similarities and differences when it comes to these two apps. One of the biggest similarities is the fact that both these apps allow you to create short videos. They have a time restriction on the length of the videos that you can post. While TikTok had two preset options (15 seconds and 60 seconds), Instagram Reels lets you adjust a timer to stop your video anywhere within 15 seconds.
While editing a video, both TikTok and Reels do not let you delete individual clips within a video. So if you want to delete a certain clip in the middle of your video, you will have to delete all clips that were added after it.
When it comes to effects and filters, few apps can rival TikTok and Instagram is not one of those. TikTok’s huge gallery of effects easily dwarfs that of Instagram. But if Instagram plans on opening its doors to user-created effects (like it did with Stories), it should be able to bridge that gap.
One big difference is the way you can edit the videos once they are shot. While TikTok allows you to add filters to any part of the video, Reels only lets you add a single filter to the whole video.
Another difference is actually based on how the two apps operate. While Instagram has a few ways to post content (Feed, Stories, DM), TikTok had but one. So when you go to post a Reels video, you can choose where you want to post it; your Instagram Feed, Explore tab, Story, or DM. Unsurprisingly, TikTok only posts the video to your account.

Storage space is like time: there just is never enough. I’m not big on cloud services and cannot rely on staying online just to access my own files, which is why I prefer having them locally. But that has its own issues. Every time an app is installed, or a file is brought in, the storage space gets eaten up. Even if I’m not doing anything it seems to run out of its own volition. And just as time is a precious resource that I try to manage as best I can, so is my system’s disk space.
Though Windows has its own disk and storage space management tools, they leave a lot to be desired. But there’s a program for everything under the sun, and for storage space management, TreeSize is as good as they come.
Figuring out a new app without any reference, however, can be tricky. Below I share my views on TreeSize, how to set it up, and how to start using it so you can save yourself some time, as well as disk space.

What is TreeSize
TreeSize is a disk management tool by JAM Software built only for Windows. It is free to use though there is a paid version as well for personal and professional use. They are available for comparison on JAM Software’s website if you’d like to know the difference between them.
Briefly, the paid version has additional features such as a duplicate file finder, more export options, as well as command line options (professional only). But for all intents and purposes, the free version has everything I need, and that is what I’ll relate below.
TreeSize Free Features
TreeSize isn’t the only disk space management tool out there which is why it’s crucial that its features and offerings align with my (and your) needs. Fortunately, one glance at the main features listed on the website is good enough to have me reach for the download button.
Quickly find out which files are hogging space, monitor free space and file information, scan and export results, and get a File Explorer-like tree view of whatever you’ve got on your system – I couldn’t ask for anything more.
On top of that, TreeSize also allows for smartphone and mobile device scanning via MTP which is something else to look out for.

How to use TreeSize Free
I’ll quickly run down the steps to install and set up TreeSize Free on Windows so we can take a deeper look into the features and how to use them to manage space on a computer.
1. Select your directory for file scanning
Then select the drive or the folder to scan. It’s best in my opinion to scan the C: drive first because that’s where most of the important files generally are. But you can go ahead with any folder you like. TreeSize will automatically start scanning the selected drive.
Once the scan is finished, you’ll find the folders and files in a tree-like view, similar to File Explorer which makes it quite intuitive to use.
2. View used space by size, allocated space, percent, and file count
To the left of every folder, you will see how much space that folder is taking up. But the percentages given to the right can be a bit confusing at first.
At first glance, I asked myself: Why does TreeSize show 100% on the ‘C’ drive? After all, I had more than half of the disk free. But when I expanded a folder, the logic became clear.
These percentages show how much a given folder is taking up the overall used space of its parent folder/disk, not the whole disk. And since I had selected ‘C’ to scan, that would be its own parent folder and would have a hundred percent of its own files, naturally.
So when a different folder is expanded, you will see, as a percentage, the share of space the subfolders within it are using up. In my instance, the ‘Windows’ subfolder is using 91.9% of the total space of its parent folder ‘MountUUP’ which in turn is using up 8.6% of the total used space of C (see image below).
Besides viewing the allocated space and its percentages relative to the parent folder, there is also a “File Count” viewer.
This gives an exact count of the number of files there are in each folder (and subfolder) and, on the right, the percentage of files in that folder out of the total files in its parent folder.
Similarly, there are “Size” and “Percent” view options as well. As far as I can tell, these will mainly change what you see next to the folders.
The “% of Parent (Size)” and “file count” view options are primary. However, you will want to play around with all four options depending on how you want to view your files and folders.
3. Delete a file to free up space
That’s pretty much it. No confirmation prompts or pop-ups. And it’s good that it’s that simple.
Apart from the basics that I’ve talked about, you’ll do good to play around with the other options available in TreeSize. Go through the different tabs and experiment with the different viewing and sorting styles, check out the user interface options (dark, light, and touch optimization), the size units (view in TBs, GBs, MBs, or KBs), and the search function.
All these options help simplify the task further so do make sure to check them out and see what all you can work with.
4. Delete files permanently when you need to
On the prompt, select Yes.
This is particularly helpful if you are sure that you won’t need the files. When a file is very big in size, TreeSize will automatically ask you to confirm the permanent deletion.
5. Using the Treemap chart
Perhaps the most useful of all features that I’ve found is the Treemap Chart. This option is available in the toolbar under the “View” tab.
The Treemap Chart will display your files and folders based on their respective sizes and how deep they are within the parent folder.
Now before I go on, let’s clarify the layout of this Treemap Chart. The area of a given folder box is proportional to its size. The larger the size, the bigger its box will be. In my case, the “Games” folder is slightly smaller than the “Windows” folder because it uses up lesser disk space.
As I’ve already said, the levels indicate how deep a subfolder/file is within the parent folder, indicated by different shades of blue. For instance, the “Virtual Machine” subfolder is around level 5 (light blue), while the primary folder ‘C’ is level 0 (darkest blue).
Of course, all this is in relation to the scanned folder. The main folder will always be at level 0 while everything within it will have different shades of blue depending on how many subfolders deep it is.
But that’s not all! The Treemap Chart can also be viewed in 3D, the option for which is given under the “Chart Options” tab.
I find this an even better way to view the files and subfolders within the main scanned folder. The level colors will change, which is good for easy viewing. But within each folder, you’ll also see ‘bubbles’ of files and folders.
The ‘Windows Explorer’ option will work as the context menu.
6. Export Scan results
All the information about storage allocation is quite useful, and not least to identify which file/folder is hoarding how much space, and where. But what I found particularly useful was that I can share this information with others with a quick export.
Sure, sometimes I don’t quite understand all the technical matters about disk management. But I’ve got friends who do and it’ll be easier for them to suggest what I can do once they have information about my disk utilization.

Outlook lets you automatically forward emails sent to your inbox to any other Outlook or email accounts, like Gmail, AOL, iCloud Mail, Yahoo!, etc. Depending on your device, you can either set up automatic forwarding using the forwarding section of Outlook’s settings or create an automatic forwarding rule using Outlook’s rules feature. Set Up Auto Forwarding in New Outlook for Windows and WebYou can set up automatic forwarding for both personal and organizational Outlook accounts. New Outlook App and WebIf you want to create an automatic forwarding rule using the new version of Outlook for Windows or the Web version, follow these instructions:
Launch the new Outlook app for Windows.
Type a relevant rule name for easier rule management. Since you’re setting up automatic forwarding, use something like “Automatic Forwarding.”
Add a condition. For example, if you want all emails that go into your inbox forwarded, select “Apply to all messages.”
Select an action in “Add an action.” For automatic forwarding, select “Forward to.”
The forwarding rule you created should be on the list of “Rules” in the Outlook app.
Legacy Version of Outlook for WindowsYou can also create an automatic forwarding rule in the classic Outlook interface by following these steps:

Select a condition under “When a new message arrives that meets all these conditions.” This will filter messages you want to forward automatically. You can select “All Messages” to have all your emails forwarded or select a filter.
Select an action under “Do the following.” Since you’re setting up automatic forwarding, select “Forward To.”
You should see the new rule in the list in the “Rules” window.
Tip: send out friendlier emails by using emoji in Microsoft Outlook for Windows.
Frequently Asked Questions Can I set up automatic forwarding with more than one forwarding address?You can add more than one forwarding email address if you set up automatic forwarding via Outlook’s rules feature. If you want to use the non-rule method, know that you can only add one forwarding email address.
Can I filter emails that’ll be forwarded?You can only filter emails that’ll be forwarded if you set up automatic forwarding using Outlook’s rules feature. Filters aren’t available if you enable automatic forwarding outside of Outlook’s rules section. To set up filters for the emails that will be forwarded, you need to access the “Rules” section as we showed you above.

When NVIDIA originally introduced G-Sync back in 2013, it was a game changer for the industry. Most people considered it to be the holy grail of PC gaming for what it offered and rightfully so, because it brought about the best possible gaming experience on monitors. For those of you who don’t know yet, NVIDIA G-Sync is a hardware level display technology which synchronizes GPU’s render rate with the monitor’s refresh rate. As a result of this, you’ll immediately notice the difference while playing games, because G-Sync ensures buttery smooth and stutter-free gaming sessions while completely eliminating screen tearing. G-Sync is incorporated into monitors with the help of a module and these monitors are usually more expensive. However, if you already have a G-Sync monitor, you need to set it up properly, as there are some confusions that should be avoided. So, lets take a look at how to set up and configure NVIDIA G-Sync:
Setting Up G-Sync Using NVIDIA Control PanelThere are certain minor mistakes that people often tend to do while setting up G-Sync and as a result, the feature doesn’t work properly. We certainly don’t want you to be in that situation, so make sure you follow these steps below to properly set up G-Sync:
Configuring G-Sync For Games
We’re not done with configuring G-Sync properly yet. We’ve a couple more steps that is absolutely crucial in determining the proper functioning of G-Sync. So, carefully follow the steps below:
In several games, V-Sync is enabled by default, but we don’t need V-Sync at all. It totally depends on the game. If you want to disable V-Sync, you will have to get to the Graphics/Video settings within the game and turn it off, so that G-Sync will be able to work properly.
This is arguably the most important step in this process and I’ll explain it to you exactly why. As we discussed above, G-Sync works by synchronizing the GPU’s render rate with the monitor’s refresh rate. So, suppose your game is rendering at a lower frame rate than the refresh rate of your monitor, G-Sync will reduce the refresh rate of your monitor to match the GPU’s render rate, in order to ensure smooth gameplay. However, this process doesn’t work the other way round. If the GPU renders the game at a higher frame rate than the monitor’s refresh rate, G-Sync won’t do anything and you will experience screen tearing while playing. In order to avoid this, you need to lock the frame rate of your game to the refresh rate of your monitor. You can do this by going to the graphics/video settings of your game.
Note: Not all games let you lock the frame rate to the refresh rate of your monitor. In such cases, you will need to use something in addition to G-Sync. This can be done on the NVIDIA Control Panel by enabling Fast Sync in the Vertical Sync option, instead of completely turning it off. If you don’t prefer doing this, you can make use of a third-party software like RivaTuner which comes along with MSI Afterburner that can limit the frame rate.

How To Make Reels On Instagram: Best Trends, Tips, And Tricks To Use
Instagram has now made available its widely anticipated ‘Reels‘ feature in over 50 countries, including the U.S. Reels is set to capture the market created by TikTok, a social media app for creating and sharing short videos. In this article, we will cover how to make your very first Reel video as well as tips to make you a master Reeler (no that is not a word).
What is Instagram Reels?
Instagram Reels is a new feature that Instagram has launched that will allow users to create short videos of themselves from right within the app. With its far-reaching grip on the social media market, Instagram hopes that the new feature will be able to monopolize the gap left by TikTok.
Instagram Reels has been incorporated into the Instagram app itself. It lets users create short 15 second videos of themselves. The new feature has also brought about cosmetic changes to the app. There is now a new ‘Reels’ tab added to the profile beside the profile grid. By default, Reels videos are added to the dedicated Reels tab on the profile.

How to make an Instagram Reels video
Reels comes with a host of customization options in the way of stickers, filters, music, and more. You can either record your own video or upload a video from your Gallery to create a Reel. The new Reels function is accessible as a camera mode within Instagram, similar to Boomerang, and Superzoom. To make a video on Reels, follow this simple guide below.

Launch the Reels function
First, you need to locate the function. Launch the Instagram app, and swipe right to reach your camera screen. Alternatively, you could tap the Story button in the top left corner. Now select the ‘Reels’ tab from the bottom panel.
Adjust the playback speed
If you want to create some interesting content, you can play around with the playback speed of your video. This setting lets you either speed up or slow down the playback. You can only adjust this setting before you record your video, so you cannot use it on videos uploaded from your gallery.
To adjust the speed of your playback, tap the speed button in the left panel and select the speed you would like; .5 and .3 will slow down your video while 2x and 3x will speed it up.
To record at normal speed simply leave the setting at 1x.

Use timer
You can set a timer for how long you would like your Reels video to be. This lets you automatically stop the video without having to tap the record button. Reels lets you record for a maximum of 15 seconds.
To set the duration of your video, tap the Timer button in the left panel, and use the sliders to adjust the cut off time.
Note: Adding a timer automatically adds a 3-second countdown timer to your video.
Add music
Reels has its own library of music to choose from to add to your video. Of course, you could always just use your original sound instead. You can add music before recording a video or after. If you are recording a dance sequence, it makes more sense to add music before you record your clip.
To add music to your Reels video, tap the music icon in the left panel. This will bring up the Instagram music library. You can use the search bar at the top to find your favorite song.
Tap the song to enter the editor. You can now adjust which portion of the song you would like to use. Move the slider around till the lyrics line up perfectly with what you want. Tap ‘Done’ to add the audio.
Note: If you have used the speed setting while recording with audio, you will notice a change in the song’s playback speed. If you speed up the video, you will notice that the music slows down during recording. But don’t worry. During playback your music will be at normal (1x) speed, while your video will be sped up.
Add an Effect
This is the best part. Instagram has a ton of filters and effects to choose from. Additionally, since it opened its doors to user-created effects, the list is literally endless.
To add an effect to your Reels video, tap the effect button in the left panel, and scroll to your favorite one.
You can browse through all the user-created effects by scrolling to the end and selecting ‘Browse Effects’.
Create your content
Reels lets you record your own video or upload a video from your gallery. You also have the option to mix and match between recorded videos and videos from your Gallery.
To upload a video from your Gallery, swipe up and select the video. You can also tap the Gallery button in the bottom left corner.
To record a fresh video, just hit the record button at the bottom. You can record multiple clips, as long as they don’t exceed the 15-second limit.
Note: If you have used the speed setting while recording, simply record your video normally. The app will automatically slow it down after.

Once you have aligned your camera with the last shot, hit the record button at the bottom.

Once you have recorded your Reel and are satisfied with it, you can easily post it to your profile. This is the same as posting an image or video. Tap the arrow button in the bottom right to bring up the sharing page.
