We’ll also give you some tips on how to use Amazon hub lockers, Kohl’s stores, and Whole Food Market to return your purchase.

Returning Amazon Packages through UPS

Returning an Amazon package via UPS is one of the easiest return options you can choose. There’s not much work for you as UPS makes the whole process easy. Its return service is completely free for some clothing items, damaged products, and items that were sent by mistake. UPS also packages and labels the products for you.

There are two ways to use UPS to return your Amazon order. You can either take it to one of its stores or have a UPS driver come to your house and pick up the package. Keep in mind that most Amazon returns via UPS are free of charge, but if you choose the pick-up method, you’ll have to pay a fee.

UPS Return Methods Explained

When you decide to return an item to Amazon, there are several steps to complete. According to Amazon’s return policy, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return it. Their online return center will guide you through the return process.

1. Go to the Amazon website or Amazon app.

2. Log into your Amazon account.

3. From the Amazon home screen, go to your Orders.

4. Find the order you want to return and select Return or replace Item. You can find this option right next to the selected order.

5. Amazon will ask you for a reason for returning the item. Choose the appropriate one from the list that pops up. On this page also pick the refund method.

6. Find the return method section and pick between the UPS Drop-off or UPS Pickup options.

7. Press Submit to complete the return.

UPS Drop-off Method

If you choose to take your package to the nearest UPS store, all you have to do is take the item to them. You don’t need to pack it or print the label. UPS can do that for you. But if you want to save some time, you can pack it in the box you received it, print the label, and attach it to the box.

Before you go to the UPS store to return the package, check your email. UPS will send you a return shipping code which you have to show to their employee when you arrive at their store.

UPS Pickup Method

If you choose the Pickup Method, the Amazon website should tell you when you can expect the UPS driver to come to your house and take the return package. You will need to pack the item yourself, but you won’t need to print and attach the return label. UPS can do this for you.

Not all Amazon items are eligible for the UPS pickup return option.

Amazon QR Code Explained

Amazon QR code is a new feature that can be very helpful if you live near a UPS store.

If the item you’re returning is eligible for a no-box-no-label return, you need to choose the Drop-off return method during your return process on Amazon’s website. Amazon will email you a QR code that you can show to the UPS employee in the store. They will scan the QR code and confirm the return of the item. That’s it. You won’t have to worry about packing or labeling the item yourself. However, the QR code doesn’t work if you choose the pick-up return option.

UPS is not the only service that uses an Amazon QR code to confirm the return of a package. You can use it for all in-store returns at Amazon physical stores and hubs, Kohl’s stores, and some Whole Food Markets. If you’re interested in other services that accept Amazon returns, continue reading.

Other Drop Off Locations for Amazon Return Packages

When you choose your shipping method, you will see other options besides UPS. They are all great alternatives if you don’t have a UPS store near you.

Return the Package to Kohl’s

When you start the Amazon return process, instead of UPS you can choose Kohl’s drop-off. You’ll receive a QR code that you need to present at Kohl’s. After they scan it, they will pack, label, and ship your Amazon product. Their service is free too. You may even get lucky and receive Kohl’s coupon after you make your Amazon returns there.

Head to Amazon’s Own Physical Stores or a Hub Locker

If you live near an Amazon physical store, or their hub locker, you can use their services to return your package. Stores such as Amazon Go, Amazon Fresh, and Amazon Style also need to scan the QR code in order to return an item. Not all items can be returned through the Amazon Store Dropoff option. If your package is not eligible, you’ll be offered other return methods to pick from.

Amazon Hub lockers are another great way to return your package. When you choose this option Amazon will email you a dropoff code that you will insert into the locker’s touchscreen display. Just follow the instructions on the screen to drop off your package in the locker. Note that in order to use Amazon’s physical stores and the Hub locker, your return items have to be properly packaged and boxed.

Also, you should be aware that Amazon is closing some of its physical stores across the country, and finding one near you can be challenging.

Whole Foods Market Accepts Amazon Returns

When you start the Amazon return process, you can select Whole Foods Market as a drop-off location. But be aware that only some of them accept the no-box free returns. For others, you’ll have to pack and label the package yourself. You can also choose the preferred store, but if the ones near you are not listed, it means those store locations aren’t eligible for returns.

Again, Amazon will email you the QR code that you need to show to Whole Food Market employees in order to return your package. The returns are made at the store’s access point, either at a return kiosk or a customer service desk.

Try Out DoorDash Service

DoorDash is now offering a new feature: package returns. That means that you can request a Dasher to come to your house and pick up the Amazon package for return. At the moment, they offer to take your package to the nearest UPS, FedEx, USPS, or physical store. But they won’t take your package to the lockers. Their service is not free and your return item has to be packed, sealed, and labeled properly.

Vlookup To Return Multiple Values

VLOOKUP to Return Multiple Values

We all know that Vlookup in Excel is used to look up the exact or approximate match, and we have all been doing this on our regular tasks. Vlookup looks up the value from the selected table range and returns the exact match as per the cell value it maps. But when we have multiple duplicate values in a table, we would only get the first value from the lookup range. The duplicate values below will not reflect or look up any value from the table range. But this is possible. The examples below show us how to look up multiple values using VLOOKUP to Return Multiple Values.

How to Use VLOOKUP to Return Multiple Values?

To make these names unique values, we can add any number or special character so that all values will become unique. As we can see, in column B, all the values have become unique after adding numbers to each cell value.

Examples of VLOOKUP to Return Multiple Values

Lets us discuss the examples of VLOOKUP to Return Multiple Values.

You can download this VLOOKUP to Return Multiple Values Excel Template here – VLOOKUP to Return Multiple Values Excel Template

Example #1

In this, we will see how to use Vlookup to get multiple values from one table to another. We have two tables below. Each table has the same headers and Owner and Product names in the same sequence. Now if we apply the vlookup in cell G2 to get the quantity sold for each Owner name, then we will only get the first value of each owner name as the owner names are repeated.

We will insert a column in the first table and make a key using the Owner name and Product columns to avoid such situations. In the Key column, we are using an underscore as a separator. We can use any separator here.

We can see the final unique key column A, as shown below.

In Table 2, we will apply Vlookup to get the value from Table 1 to Table 2. Insert the vlookup function as shown below.

As per syntax, we need to select the lookup value as we have created in Table 1. For that, combine or concatenate F1 and G1 values with the help of an underscore.

In the table array, select the complete table 1.

As we want to get Quantity Sold numbers from Table1 to Table2, we will select column 4 as Col Index.

Once we press enter and drag the formula till the end, all the values from the table1 will be fetched to the table2’s Quantity Sold column.

Example #2

To look up multiple values, we will use the Index function here. The index function in Excel is used to look up the value as a matrix. This means Index lookups at the value in the table with the help of chosen reference Columns and Row index numbers.

As per the syntax of the Index function, we need to select the array from where we want to get the value. Here our array is Column C.

As per syntax, we will use ROW and COLUMN numbers to get values. Here, we use the Small function to get the smallest value first from the lookup array.

If we press enter, we will get the value for the first cell only. To execute this function properly, press SHIFT + CTRL + Enter together. Then only after dragging will we be getting the looked values from table1.

Pros of Vlookup to Return Multiple Value

It is quite helpful in mapping or looking up the values against duplicate values.

We can see a single or all the values against the same lookup value.

There is no limit to the values we want to look up using multiple value criteria.

Things to Remember

While using the method shown in example-2, always press the SHIFT + CTRL + ENTER keys together to execute the applied formula. If we directly press enter, we would get the value only for the first cell, not for every down cell.

Instead of concatenating different cell values, we give numbers to each duplicate value and look up the value in the same order.

We can use a BLANK cell as well as a separator.

Numerous ways exist to create a wider key than the steps and process shown in the above examples.

Even if we add a SPACE, it will help create a unique key for Vlookup to return multiple values.

How To Leverage Amazon Prime Day To Grow Sales

Amazon Prime Day opened doors to endless marketing boosts for the second time this year.

Refersion’s Raj Nijjer joins me on the SEJShow to discuss marketing opportunities for Amazon Prime Day within and outside of Amazon.

Even for businesses not on Amazon, there are chances to leverage the new October Prime Day, which is on its way to becoming as large of a holiday shopping day as Black Friday.

This is the first time they’ve done the two prime days. The first one is in July, so it’s the beginning of Q3, and now they’re doing one at the beginning of Q4. It shows you that there’s enough demand out there and there’s enough inventory too. Now that supply chains have gone back to normal, shipping prices have gone way back to earth, and frankly, many brands are sitting on a lot of inventory. The timing for Amazon could not be more perfect –Raj Nijjer, 9:04

Amazon is probably one of the most efficient machines out there. I think from that perspective, it works, and that’s why you see conversion rates that are six to seven times the B2C website –Raj Nijjer, 31:46

I also think you’re going to have a generation going away that knows what Black Friday is. When was the last time, probably five or ten years ago, people lined up outside a store to go shopping? Black Friday it’s become an online event. As that generation fizzles and goes away, the concept of Black Friday may not even exist anymore. –Loren Baker, 31:59

It can’t be like B2C versus Marketplace. It has to be like B2C and Marketplace. –Raj Nijjer, 17:24

It’s the promise that Amazon makes. It’s fulfillment, shipping, and payment. It’s all systems and operations, but it’s like magic to you as a consumer. –Raj Nijjer, 16:15

If you’re worried like, oh my God, I don’t want to put my brand on Amazon, more than likely, your competitors are already on there. They’re on there all right, and they’re already selling and finding success. They’ve registered in the brand registry, which gives them protection and product protection. But they also get a slew of selling and marketing tools because you have complete control over your listing. –Raj Nijjer, 23:13

Google Explains Geotargeting Via Url Subdirectories

Google’s Search Advocate John Mueller explains how websites can optimize content for search results in specific countries by using subdirectories in a strategic way.

This topic was discussed during a recent Google Search Central SEO office-hours hangout.

An individual named Hazel Wwrong joins the livestream to ask Mueller how Google recognizes when website content is geotargeted, other than looking for hreflang implementation.

In response, Mueller describes how Google looks for patterns in URLs indicating which country a page is intended for.

You can use this information to structure your website in a way that targets multiple countries with the same domain.

Continue reading the section below for more details.

How To Target Multiple Countries With The Same Domain Using Subdirectories

When asked what signals Google looks for to recognize when content is optimized for a specific country, Mueller says:

“We try to group URLs by clear patterns that we can recognize. And that’s, for example, by subdomain or by subdirectory.

So if you have the country in the subdirectory, in a higher place in the path, then it’s a lot easier for us to say everything under this path is for this country, everything under this other path is for another country.

And you can also verify individual paths in Search Console and specifically say this path is for this country, or this path is for another country, which makes it a little bit easier for us.”

The URL pattern Mueller describes would look something like this in practice.

Let’s say you own a store in the U.S. that ships products to other countries around the world. Here’s how the URL pattern might look:

And so on.

Mueller notes this use of subdirectories likely won’t make a big difference if you’re already using hreflang and Search Console to target specific countries.

So if your website isn’t set up this way you don’t have to go and change everything around.

It’s just one more signal Google looks for in addition to other geotargeting signals.

“In practice, I don’t hear a lot of feedback from people saying this makes a big difference. So I don’t know if it’s something you actually need to do, especially if it’s a more complex setup.

But I would try to make it so that it’s as clear as possible which country is relevant for the individual URLs. Kind of with a clear path in the URL.

I think there was a question someone submitted as well about using the country as a URL parameter at the end. Theoretically, you can do that. I think for our systems it makes it a lot harder to recognize which URLs belong to which country. So I would see that as being less likely for us to pick up for geotargeting.

Obviously, if you’re using hreflang, then that’s less of an issue there because you can do that on a per-URL basis.”

How To Backup Data On An Amazon Fire Tablet?

If you own Amazon Fire Tablet, it has a feature called Backup & Restore that automatically backs up your data. Well, such backup data comes in handy for retrieving and restoring data, especially after a device reset or a new tablet purchase.

Your Fire Tablet will start storing data as a backup only after you have enabled the feature. So, you can start by turning on the backup & restore settings on your device. Similarly, for personal files, you can also choose to use an SD card or PC as a backup.

So, let’s quickly move on with the several methods for backing up data on a Fire tablet.

Launch Settings.

Another way to back up your data on Fire Tablet is by exporting the files. If you do not want to lose your contact data, you can export it and send it to yourself. This feature is also available for the calendar app.

For Contacts, you can export as .vcf format. Similarly, for the calendar, you can export it in the .ics file format. However, you must connect your Fire Tablet to Wi-Fi throughout the process. You can check out the steps given below.

Contact Data

Launch Contacts app.

If your Fire Tablet OS is 5 or earlier, you can tap OK to confirm. However, if your Table OS is 6 or more, you can move on to the next step.

Pick your desired Storage location and select Save.

Calendar Data

Launch Calendar application

Next to each calendar file, you can see the Three-dot menu. Tap on it and choose Email.

You can send the attachment to yourself using email.

For users who do not use an SD card, you can check out the traditional way of backup. Using a micro-USB cable, you can transfer a copy of all the important files from your tablet to your PC and store them. Then, after performing a reset, you can transfer the files back to your tablet.

Here are the steps on how to do it.

Firstly, connect your Fire Tablet to PC using a transferable micro-USB cable.

Create a new folder on your PC to store the tablet files.

After you are done, you can safely Eject the tablet from your PC.

You can also use a MicroSD Card as portable storage on your Fire Tablet to transfer files. Although you mainly use it to optimize device storage, you can use it as a means to back up data. It comes in handy for storing personal files and media.

However, there are a few things to note first. If you cannot transfer some files, they could be copyrighted. Additionally, there is a high risk of data loss if you aren’t careful while removing the card. To be on the safe side, you can navigate to the device storage and remove it.

Let’s check out the steps for using a microSD card as a backup.

Insert a compatible microSD Card into your Fire Tablet.

If prompted, pick Set Up option on the Pop-up.

You can use Amazon Cloud Drive if you want to restore your personal files, videos, and photos. You can turn on the auto-save settings for applications to automatically back them up. Unfortunately, you can use this drive only till December 31, 2023. According to the official site, it will be permanently unavailable after the mentioned date.

You can follow the given steps to enable Amazon Cloud Drive.

Launch Settings.
