It’s telling that when the Google+ social network launched in June, businesses clamored to get on the service as quickly as possible. For most businesses, being active on social media is now a requirement. Although Google+ is still dragging its feet on creating pages for businesses, getting your company page started on Facebook, Linked In, and Twitter takes just minutes.
Choose a NameWhen you try to register your business’s name on a social network, you may find that it’s already taken. Both Facebook and Twitter have an appeals process to which you can turn if your business name has been claimed, but they offer no guarantees. Businesses that have been through the appeals process say that Twitter tends to be a bit more generous than Facebook, which usually requires a trademark and a decent amount of poking and prodding before it allows you to have your name.
You can always ask the current owner to hand over the Facebook or Twitter page, but be prepared: The other party may want a payout in exchange for giving up the name. If all else fails you can register a slight variation on your business’s name, but make sure to remain consistent. Appearing under one company name on Facebook and another name on Twitter makes it hard for customers to find you.
Select an ImageAlthough you should try to keep your logo graphic as consistent as possible among Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, you may need to make some tweaks. All three services will automatically resize images for you, but each one resizes to slightly different dimensions. For instance, Twitter pictures must be perfectly square and will show up at sizes as small as 25 by 25 pixels, and that can cause problems if your logo has different proportions.
As you can see, the text in the larger Daw Industries logo got cut off when I tried to upload it to Twitter. (That’s probably for the best, though, since the text was too small for anyone to read.) Instead of using this image, I uploaded a square version that contained just the globe part of the graphic.
Get Started on FacebookDepending on what your company does and what you want to promote, you might choose the local business, brand, or corporation button. After you enter your company’s name and industry, Facebook will prompt you to upload a photo for your company. Facebook is unique in that it allows images of variable size. It’s still best to stick to an image with roughly square dimensions, however, as the profile photo will be the basis of your much smaller thumbnail image (which, like Twitter’s picture, is small and perfectly square).
While you’re on Facebook, you should also pick up the vanity URL for your business. For instance, rather than asking for just one image, LinkedIn requests a perfectly square image for thumbnails and a second, “standard logo” image with dimensions of 100 by 60. Don’t worry if your image is too large; as long as it has the right proportions, LinkedIn will resize it.
Get Started on TwitterTwitter doesn’t have specific corporate accounts, but you can easily grab a Twitter account for your company just by registering the name. All you need is an email address. Unlike with Facebook and LinkedIn, you don’t have to enter a lot of information for your Twitter account–just an image, a username, and a 140-character bio. Twitter also lets you customize the background. You can either use one of several preset themes or upload your own background image; be sure to use a subtle pattern instead of your logo, since Twitter will tile the image across the entire page.
That’s it: Your social media accounts are now up and running. Be sure to update the content regularly to attract and keep followers.

Once you have the LinkedIn app open and the post you want to save as well. You should see dots to the right of the article, and the option to save it will be the first on the list.
That’s all you need to do to save any article. You’ll need to repeat the process to save future articles. If you think you saved the wrong article, tap on the dots again and the option to unsave the article.
How to Find Your Saved LinkedIn Articles – AndroidThere is no point in saving your articles if you can find them to read them later. You can access your saved article on your Android device by tapping on your profile picture at the top left of your display, followed by the profile option.

How To Download Videos From Twitter, Facebook & Instagram
Have you ever wanted to save videos from social media websites? Maybe there’s a Twitter video you want to download, or videos from Facebook or Instagram that you’d like to save? There isn’t a download button on these sites, but there are third-party tools that let you save videos from Instagram and other social networks.
Some of the best video downloaders for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are web apps, meaning that you don’t need to download a program to your computer to use them. Just copy the link to the video you want to save, and then paste it into the video downloader website to get the file (some even let you convert the video to an audio file format).

Note: Downloading a video from these websites means videos that are actually stored on the site, not linked elsewhere. For example, if a Facebook post has a link to a YouTube video, you can’t use a Facebook video downloader to save it; you’d need a YouTube downloader instead.
Important: You should be aware of copyright laws in your country before downloading videos from Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook. Just because a video can be downloaded for free doesn’t mean that it’s legal for you to take it.
Download Twitter VideosThere are several ways to download videos from Twitter, but we’ll review a method that uses a website called SaveTweetVid.
Select the arrow next to the Tweet and choose Copy link to Tweet. If you’re already viewing the Tweet that has the video, you can copy the URL shown in the navigation bar of your browser.
Paste the URL into the text box at SaveTweetVid, and press Download.
Tip: If SaveTweetVid doesn’t find the Twitter video you want to download, try a similar site like TWSaver, TwitterVideoDownloader, or DownloadTwitterVideo.
Select one of the download options. You should see download links for various video qualities.
Download Facebook VideosFacebook has a Save video option, but that’s not what you should use if you want to download a Facebook video. Fortunately, there are several free Facebook video downloaders that you can use to the same effect: to save the video from Facebook to your computer, phone, or tablet.
We’ll use Getfvid for this tutorial, but some other sites that work similarly include Fbdownloader, FBDOWN, and BitDownloader. There are even apps that are built specifically for this, like Video Downloader for Facebook for Android.
Copy the link to the Facebook video by selecting the three-dotted menu and choosing Copy link.
Open Getfvid, paste the link into the text box, and select DOWNLOAD.
Step 3: Select a download option. You can download the Facebook video in HD quality or normal quality, or convert the Facebook video to MP3.
Download Instagram VideosJust like these other social media video downloaders, saving an Instagram video involves copying the link to the post and then pasting it into a web app. We’re using DownloadGram below, but some others that work too, include Instaview, Downloadinstagramvideos, w3toys, and Savefromweb.

Copy the link to the Instagram video. You can do this by opening the video and copying the URL displayed in the web browser. Another option, which is required if you’re using the Instagram app, is to tap the three-dotted menu button on the post and choose Copy Link.
Paste the link into the text box on DownloadGram, and then select Download followed by Download video.
When prompted to download the video from Instagram, name it something you’ll recognize and choose where to save it.
There are also Instagram video downloader apps that might be easier to use if you’re on a mobile device. InstaSave is one example for Android devices that can download videos and images from Instagram pages.

How to Put Your iPhone on Silent Mode
To turn your iPhone’s ringer off, there’s a dedicated switch on the left side of your iPhone, near the top. You can tell if your ringer is switched on when it’s in the forward-most position where no orange is showing. You can also tap on Play to play back the vibration you created. When you’re done, tap on Save in the top right corner and create a name. Then tap Save again.

1. From Twitter HomeWhen browsing through your Twitter Home timeline, you might come across tweets under the Topics you’ve followed or Twitter recommending these topics.
Tap the Topic name → Following.
2. From the Topics option
Open Twitter.
Tap your Profile Picture.
Select Topics.
Unfortunately, you can’t unfollow all topics in one go. So, you’ll have to repeat steps for every topic you wish to unfollow in the list.
Moreover, if you come across topic suggestions in your feed and don’t want those recommendations either, tap See More → Stop Recommending.
You will no longer see this topic in your feed. Follow the same every time you see Recommended Topics in your feed.
However, this only turns off recommendations for topics based on your likes or categories. You’ll still see notifications for interest-based recommendations. To disable those, read along.
Bonus: Get rid of “Recommended for you” notifications
