In this tutorial, you will learn-Create a Selenium Project
Prepare the Project
Step 2) In this step,
Give project Name
Choose execution environment
Select Project layout option
Step 3) Open that newly created project. You will able to see the “src” folder in Package Explorer.
Select option package
Step 4) In this step,
Browse the src folder and select package
Give the package name and
Step 5) In this step,
Select option “class.”
A new window will open.
Step 6) In this step,
Give the “class” name
Browse and select superclass java.lang.object
Here, you are creating two classes ex: DemoA, DemoB.
First Create Class DemoA.
Step 8) Now in properties window,
After this, write the following code.
For Class DemoA
This line will going to maximize the Browser window.
This line will enter the specified URL in the URL field.
This line will going to identify the “Google” search box and enter the data you sent using sendKeys method.
Output: The above program contains the errors, so it is not possible to execute.
Similarly for Class DemoB,
Step 8) In the property window,
After this step, all the errors will be removed automatically. If not then place the mouse over the code which is showing errors and import all necessary classes and interfaces.
After writing your code inside both the classes i.e. DemoA, DemoB go to the next step.
Step 9) In this step,
Step 10) In this step,
1. Select the parent folder
2. Give the Folder name as ‘lib’ and (The primary purpose of adding these two jar files in the lib folder is that, while executing from the command prompt you can tell the compiler that the required jar files for the execution of the program are present in this location. If you want to execute chúng tôi from eclipse then this lib folder is not at all required)
After creating a folder, next step will be converting our programs that are DemoA and DemoB into chúng tôi file.Convert and Execute Selenium Project to TestNG
Step 1) In this step,
Select the option called “testNG.”
Step 2) A new window will open. In this window, enter details like
Then the chúng tôi file created under the java project, and it will look like this.
Step 3) The chúng tôi suite file will look like this:
If you want to execute DemoA class first, then remove that complete line and add it before DemoB class like this:
Step 4) After executing the chúng tôi file, it will display the result in the following manner. (Since you have not written any executable statements using System.out.println() so it is not printing anything on the console window).
This is one of the ways you will execute test through the eclipse, if you want to execute the same chúng tôi suite file that contains two class file such as DemoA, DemoB from the command prompt you need to follow the below steps.
Now open the command prompt and go to the Project workspace.Execute TestNG via Command Line
You need to find the location of the Project Space
The project workspace is C:UsersUserDesktopGuru99TestProject. So you are changing directory to that particular location.
Step 3) Then type the following command. (This command is generic command)
java –cp “path of lib folder present in workspace*; path of bin folder present in project workspace; path of chúng tôi file present in lib folder of project workspace” org.testng.TestNG testng.xml
but for our project you need to write the following command.Java –cp "C:UsersUserDesktopGuru99TestProjectlib*; C:UsersUserDesktopGuru99TestProjectbin" org.testng.TestNG testng.xml
Step 4) Then press the Enter. Both the classes DemoA and DemoB will start their execution. Finally, it will display the result on the command prompt. How to run only failed test cases
If you want to execute only failed test cases through the Eclipse, then first refresh the project.
Select the refresh option or simply select the java project and press F5.
Step 2) Then you will able to see the test-output folder.
In that folder, you have a file with name testng-failed.xml.
Suppose if you have three test cases if all the test cases are executed successfully means you are not able to see this folder under the test-output folder. This folder will appear only when one of the test case is failed. Then run this file, it will going to run only failed test cases.Running chúng tôi file from Command line
Step 1) To run failed test cases in command prompt. Open the command prompt and go to the Project workspace.
My project workspace is C:UsersUserDesktopGuru99TestProject. So you will be changing directory to that particular location.
Step 2) Type the following command. (This command is generic command)
java –cp “path of lib folder present in workspace*; path of bin folder present in project workspace; path of chúng tôi file present in lib folder of project workspace” org.testng.TestNG test-output/testng-failed.xml
For our project, you need to write the following command.Java –cp "C:UsersUserDesktopGuru99TestProjectlib*; C:UsersUserDesktopGuru99TestProjectbin" org.testng.TestNG test-output/testng-failed.xml
Step 3) Then press the Enter. It will going to run only failed classes and display corresponds to that class only.
In the above class i.e. DemoB just change the code like this.driver.findElement(By.name("a")).sendKeys("Bye");
The above code will not going to find any element. So, it will throw the exception. But in our program, you are not handling the exception so our program will stop executing the remaining code. Because of this reason, the ClassB will going to fail.Summary
TestNG is Automation Testing Framework which is inspired from the Junit and contains different annotations.
TestNG generates the reports in its standard report, which contains the following things:
How many test cases are there?
How many test cases are passed?
How many test cases are failed?
How many test cases are skipped?
Multiple test cases can be grouped easily and executed them by converting test classes into testing suite file.
TestNG can be easily integrated with other third-party tools. It provides different features like assigning the priority to the test cases, execution of same test case multiple times using invocation count.
If any of the test case fails while executing multiple test cases, you can execute that specific test case separately.
The static method “log” of Reporter class can be used to store logging information which is present in org.testng

“Remote Procedure Call,” or RPC, in Windows is a way that programs communicate with one another across a network. But sometimes things can go wrong with the procedure. For instance, if you’re trying to open an app, and it fails to start, your system might display the “Remote Procedure Call Failed” message instead. This tutorial walks you through what you can do to remove this error from your system.
Good to know: learn how to reset Group Policy settings in Windows.Fixing the “Remote Procedure Call Failed” Error
When encountering the “Remote Procedure Call Failed” error, an issue with a Windows service or application is typically to blame Although hardware failures are also a potential source for the error, they are significantly less common than software problems. Such an error message may appear, for instance, if a client and server are unable to establish a connection.
Causes related to software include corrupt system files, malware infection, and issues with the Remote Procedure Call service. Start by going through these troubleshooting procedures to help narrow down the source of the issue to hopefully fix it.1. Boot Into Safe Mode With Networking
If the problem is caused by malware, outdated drivers, or conflicting background processes, restarting in Safe Mode with Networking should resolve it. But if you want to learn how to stop background apps and processes from running in Windows, read on.
When you boot into Safe Mode, Windows will load with the minimum set of drivers and applications. If the problem goes away when you switch to Safe Mode, you can conclude that the error is most likely due to a malfunctioning program or driver. If that’s the case, you can use System Restore to revert to a Windows installation when the error was not manifesting.
A virus or malware could also be the source of this error. In this instance, booting into Safe Mode will allow you to execute an SFC scan without malware interfering.
FYI: learn how to use Focus Mode in Windows to boost your productivity levels.2. Refresh the RPC Service
As explained above, the RPC (Remote Procedure Call) service in Windows manages how processes communicate with one another. It facilitates program collaboration and task completion by coordinating requests and responses.
If, for whatever reason, the service gets corrupted, it may result in the Remote Procedure Call Failed error. Restarting the RPC service could be a possible solution.
Press Windows + R to open a Run dialog.
Type services.msc in the box that appears.
Attempt the operation that previously resulted in the RPC failed error.3. Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter
If the problem occurs while you’re trying to run a program from the Microsoft Store, you may want to run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter.
Open Settings with the Win + I key combination.
Select “Other troubleshooters” from the menu.
Wait for it to detect the problems so that you can apply them.
Good to know: learn how to enter BIOS.4. Restart the DCOM Server Process Launcher
The DCOM Server Process Launcher (DcomLaunch) service is in charge of managing many Windows services and processes, including the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service. As a result, you can see if relaunching the DCOM Server Process Launcher helps.
Open the Services app as shown above.
Select “Restart” on the menu that appears.
If the “Restart” option is grayed out, select “Refresh” instead.5. Repair the Faulty Program
There’s a chance the program you’re attempting to run is corrupt. To eliminate the error, attempt to repair it using the built-in tool in Windows. If repairing the program doesn’t work, try resetting it. Note that not all apps and programs offer the repair option, but most built-in ones do.
Find the program that you were trying to run and press on the three dots next to its name.
Select “Advanced options” from the little pop-up menu that shows up.
Choose “Repair” from the list that appears – if it is an option.
If you can’t find it, select “Reset.”

If you’ve ever had an iOS update fail to complete, you know it can be pretty annoying and frustrating. While typically iOS and iPadOS updates go without a hitch, sometimes the process is not as smooth as you’d like it to be. But don’t freak out, if you’re experiencing iOS or iPadOS updates failing, we’ll walk through some helpful steps to troubleshoot failed system software updates on iPhone and iPad.
There are several reasons why an iOS update fails, ranging from common networking issues, to a corrupted update file, a failed download, or even a lack of enough storage space on your iPhone or iPad. This issue can happen whether you’re trying to update wirelessly over-the-air with Settings, or even with iTunes or Finder.
If you’re facing issues while trying to update iOS or iPadOS, check out these troubleshooting tips to hopefully fix the problem on your iPhone or iPad.How to Troubleshoot Failed iOS & iPadOS Updates on iPhone & iPad
Let’s take a look at some of the various troubleshooting methods you can try whenever you’re unable to update the software on your iOS device.1. Check if You Have an Internet Connection
If the update gets stuck while you’re downloading, it could be due to a poor internet connection, or a dropped connection. So, make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi, and you might want to make sure you’re able to browse within Safari before retrying the update again.
This could also be the reason why you’re getting “Unable to check for Update” or “Unable to verify update” errors on your iPhone or iPad.2. Check Your iPhone / iPad Storage
Generally speaking, you’ll want to have at least 10-15% of the devices total storage available as free space for optimal performance, and to be able to easily install system software updates onto the iPhone or iPad. This isn’t a hard rule by any means, it’s just an observation over time by longtime iOS users.3. Delete & Re-download the Update
Sometimes, a variety of issues may cause the system software update to become corrupted or unusable. Perhaps it’s from repeated disconnections from the internet while downloading the update file. Whatever the case, you can delete the iOS or iPadOS update file and redo the whole update process again.4. Connect to a Power Source
An iOS or iPadOS update can sometimes take a while to complete, ranging from several minutes to an hour or more, depending on the size of the update, and a variety of other factors. Once the update has started, you’ll notice the Apple logo with a progress bar, and at this stage it’s critical to not interrupt the software update. Therefore, it’s generally good practice to connect your iPhone or iPad is connected is a power source, and make sure it has at least 55% battery available before attempting an iPadOS or iOS software update.5. iPhone or iPad Bricked During a Software Update? Try Recovery Mode
Rarely during an iOS or iPadOS update, you may ‘brick’ a device – meaning it becomes totally unusable and unresponsive. This is typically indicated by the device being stuck on the Apple logo for many hours, or if the progress bar is stuck for an inordinately long time (like overnight). In such a situation, you might need to put your device into recovery mode and set it up again by connecting it to your computer using iTunes or Finder. Entering recovery mode varies with the iPhone or iPad model you own.
If you own an iPad with Face ID or an iPhone 8 & newer device, quick-press the Volume Up button and then quick-press the Volume down button. Right after, press and hold the power button until your device begins to restart.
On the other hand, if you own an iPhone 7 or older iPhone, press and hold the Volume Down and power button simultaneously until you see the recovery mode screen. As for iPad models with a physical home button, press and hold the home button and power button simultaneously until you enter the recovery mode screen.
Once you’ve entered the Recovery mode, connect your iPhone or iPad to the computer using the provided Lightning or USB-C cable and open iTunes. You might get a pop-up with the message “There is a problem with the iPhone (iPad) that requires it to be updated or restored”. Just choose to “Update” your device to go through the software update process again, this time via iTunes.
However, if you don’t get this pop-up message, you’ll need to restore your iPhone or iPad from a previous iTunes backup to revert the update and then start the update process all over again. Now, if you use iCloud for backups instead of iTunes, make sure you restore it as a new device and you’ll be able to use your previous iCloud backup in the setup screen on your device.6. Turn the iPhone / iPad off and on 7. Unable to Download the iOS Update or Other Networking Issues?
Hopefully by now you have fixed the issues you were facing during the iOS or ipadOS software update process.
