This post explains how to enable or disable projecting to this PC in Windows 11. ‘Projecting to this PC’ is a Windows feature that uses wireless technology to project the content of other devices to your PC screen and allows you to control the connected device using your mouse or keyboard. You can use this feature to project the screen of a Windows Phone, Android Phone, or another Windows PC over the same wireless network.
Projecting to this PC uses the Connect app for screen mirroring. A lot of users have been enquiring on multiple forums about the Tablet mode in Windows 11.
Windows 11 does support the Tablet mode, but note that it doesn’t allow users to manually enable/disable it.

We have been using the Tablet mode on previous iterations from Microsoft, but when it came to Windows 11, there was a lot of uncertainty and a lack of information around it.

You can use this mode on a 2-in-1 laptop or a Windows 11 compatible tablet. It’s a major upgrade from Windows 10, offering a relatively simpler and quicker interface, along with the ability to automatically switch modes.
However, a lot of users were facing trouble while enabling the Tablet mode in Windows 11 or getting it disabled afterward.

How to turn on/off the Tablet mode in Windows 11?While there was a built-in option to enable the Tablet mode in Windows 10, it’s missing from the latest iteration. However, it in no way means that Microsoft has discontinued the feature in Windows 11.
The tablet mode still works in Windows 11. The only change is that the OS automatically detects whether a touch-enabled display is available and the right settings in order.

If the Print Dialog box is not appearing, then in this post we will show you how to print using System Dialog in the Chrome browser on Windows 11/10. For some, this box is an irritant. Understandably, Not only does it pop up whenever you wish to do a simple print job, but it also tempts users to use unwanted printer settings that may not be suitable for subsequent print jobs.
The best way to avoid Chrome’s print dialog box is to connect a single printer to your computer. However, if you have multiple printers connected to your computer, it always shows you the dialog box.
Disable System Print Dialog in Chrome 1] Disable print preview in the shortcut targetTo turn off the print dialog box in Chrome, first find the Google Chrome shortcut, most likely on your desktop. If you can’t find it, press the Windows key and search for Chrome.

Enable the System Print Dialog box in Chrome 1] Undo the shortcut Target modificationsThe system print dialog box is enabled on Chrome by default. So, you don’t need to do anything to enable it, other than undoing the actions described in the previous section about disabling the modifications.
Whenever you try to print a webpage off Chrome, either with the CTRL +P hotkey or via the three dots at the top right-hand corner, the print dialog box shows up.
I can show you how to bring up the print settings even if you are not printing anything. The CTRL + SHIFT + P key combination brings up the system print dialog box, from which you can configure your default print settings and print out the page you are viewing.
2] Create a new shortcutYou can keep your modifications to the system print dialog box and still have it enabled whenever you want. Read on as I explain this.
Navigate to your preferred location and press the CTRL + V key combination to paste it there. You can also get the shortcut by searching for Chrome in the Start menu and opening the file location, as described earlier in this guide.
Move your cursor to the end of the text in this field and delete everything after chrome.exe” (don’t delete the quotes (“)).
What happens now is that the system print dialog box is left enabled when you launch the Chrome browser from the new shortcut. However, if you launch the browser from the shortcut with the modified Target, you open an instance of Chrome with the system print dialog box disabled.
3] Enable the System Print Dialog box in Chrome using Registry EditorUsing a Registry tweak to enable system print dialog for the Chrome browser is more effective than creating and using a shortcut. Once the required Registry tweak is applied, the print preview feature of the Chrome browser is disabled completely. Neither the Ctrl+P hotkey nor the Print… option present in Customize and control Google Chrome setting will work to open the print preview feature of Google Chrome. Instead, the system print dialog is opened directly. The changes are applied for incognito mode too.
You can also disable the system print dialog for the Chrome browser and re-enable the print preview feature of Google Chrome anytime you need. But, before trying this Registry tweak, we recommend you to take backup of Windows Registry. Once done, follow these steps:
Open Registry Editor window
Access the Google Registry key
Create a Chrome key
Create DisablePrintPreview DWORD value
Set Value data of DisablePrintPreview to 1
Press the OK button
Restart the Google Chrome browser.
Below is a detailed explanation of these steps.
In the very first step, open the Registry Editor window on your Windows 11/10 computer. Just type regedit in the Search box and use the Enter key or open the Registry Editor window using any other way you want.
After opening the Registry Editor, access a Google name Registry key. Here is the path to access it:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwarePoliciesGoogleIf for some reason, this Google key is not present, then first create a new Registry key, and name it Google. Under the Google key, create a new key, and name it Chrome (as visible in the image added above).
Finally, restart the Chrome browser if you have opened it. Now whenever you will try to take a print of a webpage, the system print dialog will open.
To enable the print preview feature of Google Chrome again, simply follow the above steps, and either delete the Chrome key or the Google key. Restart your Google Chrome browser to successfully apply the changes.

What is Print using System Dialog?Print using system dialog helps to take print of a webpage using the system print dialog box for browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. Using that box, you can select a printer, set page range, number of copies, page layout, etc., before you print a page.
By default, when you try to take a print of a webpage, the print preview feature of the web browser is opened. But, if you want, you can also use the system print dialog to take print of a webpage in Chrome, Firefox, and Edge browsers. For this:

2. After logging into your PC, open Notepad and paste the below content.

A Command Prompt window will open up, and Windows Sandbox will start getting installed on your Windows 11 Home PC. After the installation, press “y” and hit Enter. This will restart your Windows 11 computer.
7. Once you have logged in, use the Windows 11 keyboard shortcut Windows + R keys to open the Run prompt. Here, you need to type optionalfeatures.exe and hit Enter.
8. A “Windows Features” window will now open up. Here, scroll down and enable Windows Sandbox, Virtual Machine Platform, and Windows Hypervisor Platform. Finally, hit the OK button. It will start installing the necessary packages and after a while, will ask you to restart the computer.
Note: If you are running Windows 11 Pro Edition, you can directly skip to this step and enable the required features to start using the Windows Sandbox virtual environment on your PC.
10. And there you have it! You have successfully enabled Windows Sandbox on Windows 11 Home edition.
Uninstall Windows Sandbox on Windows 11 Home Edition12. In the CMD window, paste the below command and hit Enter. This will uninstall Windows Sandbox from your PC.
Dism /online /Disable-Feature /FeatureName:"Containers-DisposableClientVM" Windows Sandbox Alternative: Run Sandboxie Plus on Windows 11In case the above method didn’t work on your Windows 11 PC, and you are still looking for a way to run and test untrusted programs in an isolated environment, you can install Sandboxie Plus. It’s a third-party open-source program developed by David Xanatos, which works well on all editions of Windows 11, including the Home edition. The best part is that it’s absolutely free. On that note, let’s go ahead and try Sandboxie Plus on Windows 11 Home, an alternative to Windows Sandbox.
2. After downloading the program, install Sandboxie Plus on your Windows 11 PC and open the app.

How To Disable Command Prompt In Windows
To disable the Windows Command Prompt, you can either use the regular Windows Registry Editor or the Group Policy Editor. If you have access to the Group Policy Editor, then use it to achieve the task as it will be easy to manage it later. Here I am listing both the processes. Use the one you prefer.
Using Group Policy EditorTo disable the command prompt using the Group Policy editor, press Win + R, type gpedit.msc and press the Enter button. This action will open the Windows Group Policy Editor.
Once you are done with the configurations, the change is immediate. In fact, open up the command prompt and you will see a message something like “The command prompt has been disabled by your administrator.” Since the change is universal, even the administrator is locked out of the command prompt. Pressing any key after the message will just exit the command prompt window by default.
If you ever want to re-enable the command prompt, just reverse the process by selecting either of the radio buttons “Not configured” or “Disabled” and you are good to go.
Using Registry EditorNote: before playing with the Windows Registry Editor, please back it up as a precaution.
If you don’t have access to the Group Policy Editor, then you can achieve the same using Windows Registry Editor. First, press Win + R, type regedit and press the Enter button to open Windows Registry Editor.
Once opened, navigate to the following keys. If you cannot find the keys “Windows” or “System” then create them. As you can see from the image, the default value for “DisableCMD” has been set to “0,” which simply means that the command prompt is enabled for all users.
That’s all there is to do. You have successfully disabled the command prompt and script execution in Windows with just a simple registry hack. If you ever want to roll back the changes, just change the Value Data back to “0” and you are good to go.

DHCP, or Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, is a protocol that is used to automatically assign IP addresses to your computer. It can also be used to configure other aspects as well such as the subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS server information.
A computer or device must connect to a DHCP server to get a unique IP address and configure its other network information. The majority of the time, a network router serves as the DHCP server, but a computer can do this job as well.
It’s not just computers that use DHCP, but also switches, video game consoles, and smartphones. The process starts as the device requests an IP address from the DHCP server which then assigns an IP address so that the device can communicate with the network.
What is DHCP used for?Internet service providers (ISP) use DHCP to provide IP addresses to their customers and there are multiple reasons for which they do this. Dynamic IP addresses are more flexible than static addresses and are easier to set up and administer.
A dynamic IP address will change after a set period, usually a few months. If static addresses were the norm, you would have to sign in every time to use a network rather than just automatically connecting.
And if they were assigned manually, ISPs would have to manually give out the address to a new device and other devices in that network must then change over to the new one.
This would make connecting a device to a router very time-consuming and having to manually change everything would increase the likelihood of errors occurring.
