Most of us use some sort of strong password to protect our Windows systems from unauthorized access. Just like any other password, we may forget our system password due to any number of reasons like not using the password too long, the password being too complicated to remember, etc. In those situations, you have no other choice but to recover or reset your system password. Of course, you can always reinstall Windows, but that is not usually an option.
Features of iSeePasswordSupports Resetting Passwords for All Windows User Accounts: iSeePassword can recover or reset passwords for all Windows user account types. Those accounts include but are not limited to the Administrator user account, standard user account, guest user account, domain administrator password, etc. If you want to, you can also create an administrator account using iSeePassword. However, this feature is only available in the Advanced version of iSeePassword.
Support All Major Windows Versions: iSeePassword supports all major Windows versions like Windows XP, 2000, Vista, 7, 8, 10, and Windows server versions 2003, 2008, 2012, etc.
Installation and UsageYou can recover or reset your Windows password in just three steps using the iSeePassword tool. To start, download and install iSeePassword like any other Windows software.
Note: The trial version of iSeePassword lets you create and boot into the password recovery mode, but it will not let you reset the password.
The above action will start the bootable password reset disk creation process. Once completed, you will receive the confirmation message letting you know the same.
To reset your Windows password, plug in the USB drive and restart your system. You should be booted into the USB drive. If you are not able to boot into the USB drive, then try changing the boot priority in your BIOS/UEFI settings.
Note: if you have multiple Windows installations, you may have to select the right installation to see and reset the target user account password.
Wrapping UpForgetting your Windows password may not happen every time, but tools like iSeePassword are really helpful in emergency situations. This is especially true if you don’t have a password reset disk. Moreover, iSeePassword makes resetting a windows password very easy and without any restrictions that come with the regular Windows password reset disk.

How To Reset Apple Watch Password When You Forgot
Did you forget your Apple Watch passcode? You can’t just remember it? Is your Watch saying “wrong Passcode, try again in ‘x’ mins”.
You may want to set a passcode to protect the information that you have on your Watch, but what if you forget your passcode? This, in fact, happened to me. I just could not unlock my Watch that had not been used for a period of time.
If you keep entering the wrong passcodes, your watch will disable itself. Please note that Apple Watch includes a setting called Erase Data. If this is enabled, your Watch will be erased after entering wrong passcodes for 10 times. If you forget the passcode, you will have to restore your Watch.
This article explains how you can you erase your Watch and start from scratch or restore from a backup. You can do this even if you do not have the paired iPhone. It is highly likely that you have a backup because your data on your Watch is backed up automatically to your paired iPhone.
If your Watch is disabled because of failed passcode attempts, or if you forget your passcode, then this article is for you.
Note: Resetting your Apple Watch back to factory settings will erase everything on it, however you can restore it from a backup if you have one. Furthermore, it is highly likely that Activation Lock is enabled on your Watch. You’ll need to turn off “Activation Lock” and for this, you will need to remember your Apple ID and password.

What To Do If You Forgot Your Apple Watch PasswordStep 1: Erase your Watch.
There are two ways you can do this. The first one is to use your Watch alone. And the second one is to use your paired iPhone.
Erase your Watch using your Apple Watch1. Place the Watch on its charger and plug it into a power source. Do not disconnect. You can disconnect when you complete these steps.
2. Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider.
3. Press firmly the Power Off slider. This will reveal a new menu.
4. Tap Erase all content and settings. You will be asked if you are sure. Tap Continue.
Erase your Watch using your paired iPhone1. Keep your paired iPhone and Watch close to each other.
3. Tap Erase Apple Watch Content and Settings.
Step 2: This step involves setting up your Watch.
You need to use an iPhone. You can set up a new Watch or restore it from a backup. Make sure that your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS and check that Bluetooth is on, and make sure that your iPhone is in close range of your Watch. Lastly, ensure that your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network. Here is how:
1. Press and hold the side button and turn on your Watch.
2. A message will appear on your iPhone saying “Use your iPhone to set up this Apple Watch”. Tap Continue. Alternatively, you can also tap Start Pairing on your Watch.
3. You will see lots of dots. You’ll be asked to hold your iPhone so the Apple Watch is visible in Camera. Alternatively, you can tap “Pair Apple Watch Manually”.
4. When you are asked, choose a backup to restore your Watch. And follow the onscreen instructions. If Activation Lock is previously enabled, you will have to enter your Apple ID and password to set this Watch up.

If you ever lose the Windows 7 login credentials, password recovery software will solve the issue.
Most of these tools have free trials or are completely free, so just download them and you’re good to go.
The complexity of the password or the OS version doesn’t matter, so don’t worry about compatibility.
Security is one of the main priorities nowadays, due to the emergence of all malicious software and cyberattacks.
One can never be too secure or safe in an online environment. To ensure protection from data stealing and unauthorized access, Windows users have the ability to set passwords for their OSs.
While this is a good enough means of protection, there have been plenty of cases where people simply forgot their credentials.
Forgetting the Windows password will ruin your day and progress because you will no longer be able to access the files or data on the computer.
Fortunately, there are lots of free and commercial Windows recovery tools that will recover lost credentials.
In other words, programs and services these days are able to help you regain access to your Windows 7 PC, and thus return things to normal.
Check them all out and carefully analyze their features to make sure which one is the best for your needs.
How does a password recovery tool work, and what features should it have? Some password recovery tools will enable you to reset your Windows password in case you forgot it, while others will completely remove any password in order for you to get access to your system.
Even though both these types of software end up offering you the same capability, the system that allows them to do so will differ.
In the case of resetting the password, the software will access the system files that run every time you turn on your PC and will reset the values that have been used to create the process.
When it comes to the software of the second type, the system values set by Windows 7 will be completely removed from your system.
Features that a good password recovery tool should have:
➡ Ease of use
No matter what software we use, we don’t want it to be too complex or require too much skill in order to use its features.
This is where an efficient user interface comes into play, making its elements known to you and are also easily accessible from the main menu.
➡ Reduced in size
As in some cases the hard drive might be close to full, a good password recovery software will not occupy much of the system’s space, and thus be easily run even on older systems.
➡ Allow for USB and Flash drive installation
This element ensures that you can easily use the software no matter what issues your system is facing, and at the same time allows for easy portability to other systems.
➡ Effective removal/replacement of the password
As no password recovery app would be useful if it wouldn’t do its job, the most important element is the efficiency with which this process is performed.
Having software that guarantees success is always a good idea, especially when it comes to regaining access to your OS.

How can I set up a password on Windows 7 after resetting it? How can I create a secure password? When creating a password for your administrator account, you have to think about something that you’ll remember, something noteworthy.
However, don’t pick basic words. They are easy to crack. Also, try to stray away from objects, words, or phrases you use on a daily basis since they might be a dead giveaway.
The safest password should include at least an uppercase letter, a lowercase one, a number, and a special character. It might seem too much but it will ensure no one figures it out.
Don’t share your password with anyone, and never write it down! There are many password managers on the market that will keep track of your different credentials, and they use encrypted security to ensure nobody is going to steal the data.
All these programs will come in handy if you lose your Windows 7 admin password and you don’t have any way of retrieving it.
You definitely wouldn’t want to reinstall everything, and that’s why all these tools for recovering your passwords are the last resort and your final rescue.
Check them out. They will all work smoothly for your system running Windows 7 and they will solve the problem without too much hassle.

How To Use The Reset Windows Update Tool
Updating a Windows computer isn’t all roses. While some Windows update glitches are quite easy to fix, others can be challenging. Interestingly, there are third-party troubleshooting programs that can fix almost all Windows Update problems.
The “Reset Windows Update Tool” is one example. In this tutorial, we’ll review the tool, focusing on its capabilities, installation procedure, features, and use cases.
Table of Contents
What Does the Reset Windows Update Tool Do?The Reset Windows Update Tool (RWUT) is a multifaceted utility that not only resolves potential issues affecting Windows updates, but also helps to repair corrupt system files, replace missing registry keys, force Group Policy update, resolve problems with the Microsoft Store, and much more.
Fundamentally, the RWUT consolidates all potential fixes for Windows update issues and other associated problems in one interface. It grants users direct access to hidden system tools like the System File Checker, Check Disk Utility, Windows Component Store, etc.
The tool has no graphical interface but it is super easy to use and compatible with devices running Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Windows 11.
Installing the Reset Windows Update ToolIf you’re unsure of your PC’s processor type, refer to our comprehensive tutorial that details different ways to tell if you’re using a 32-Bit or 64-Bit computer.
From experience, some browsers like Microsoft Edge may block the file download because the app is unrecognized and “could harm your device.” That’s Microsoft Edge’s “SmartScreen” security tool being overprotective. The file is safe and you have nothing to worry about. To bypass the SmartScreen restriction, select the three-dot menu icon next to the setup file and select Keep. That’ll unblock the file and download it to your PC.
Run the setup file and follow the prompts to install the RWUT on your PC. The instruction on the installation page recommends closing all Windows apps and other third-party programs before running the setup.
Close the setup window when you get a success message. Afterward, launch the Reset Windows Update Tool to explore its feature or use it to fix system problems.
How To Use the Reset Windows Update ToolYou’ll be prompted to select your preferred language when you open the program for the first time. You can always change the language and other customizations like font color in the app’s settings menu.
In the “Select an option” row, type the number that corresponds to your preferred language and press Enter.
You’ll also need to accept the tool’s usage terms and conditions to proceed. The T&C’s basically state that although the features of the tool work, the developer will not take any responsibility for any damage to your device.
Type Y in the “Do you want to continue with this process?” row and press Enter to continue.
The main menu has about 19 options and commands. The command to run will depend on the problem your PC is facing. To perform an operation, type the number that corresponds to the command you want to run and press Enter.
Before you run any command, go through the next section to have an idea of what each option does and the changes they make to your computer.
Reset Windows Update Tool: Features & Use CasesHere’s a cursory highlight of some troubleshooting operations you can run with this tool.
1. Open the System ProtectionThis is a shortcut to Windows System Protection—a Windows section where you can create restore points, configure restore settings, and manage disk space.
Type 1 in the terminal and press Enter. That’ll immediately open the Windows System Protection window.
2. Reset Windows Update ComponentsWhat this option does is fix issues preventing your PC from updating Windows. If, for instance, Windows takes forever to check for new updates, or your PC won’t install new Windows updates, running the command in the RWUT can resolve the problems.
All you need to do is type 2 (or the corresponding digit next to the “Reset the Windows Update Components” option) and press Enter.
The tool will reset your PC’s Windows Update component by restarting the Windows Update services, Application Identity service, Cryptographic Services, Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS), and other services that help your PC install Windows updates. The operation will also delete old software distribution copies and replace corrupt or missing files needed to update your computer.
Press any key on your keyboard and try updating your PC again.
3. Delete Temporary FilesWindows creates different types of temporary files (caches system files, application data, error reports and feedbacks, internet files, etc.) as you use your PC. These files can take up a huge chunk of storage, hence deleting them regularly is a good way to free up disk space in Windows.
Deleting temporary files with the RWUT is as easy as typing 3 (or whatever digit corresponds to the Delete the temporary files in Windows option) in the terminal and pressing Enter.
4. Open Internet Explorer OptionThe tool also provides a shortcut to access the “Internet Properties” menu in Windows devices. Type 4 in the terminal and press Enter.
That’ll open the Internet Properties window where you can manage VPN and proxy connections, pop-up blocker, browser add-ons, and other information like browsing history, cookies, passwords, web form info, etc.
5. Run Chkdsk on the Windows PartitionThe Check Disk Utility (chkdsk) is a built-in system tool that fixes damaged system files, faulty sectors on the hard disk, and other issues preventing the installation of Windows updates. You can run the Check Disk utility from the RWUT instead of having to type lengthy commands in the Command Prompt.
On the app dashboard, type 5 (or the digit that corresponds to Runs Chkdsk on the Windows partition) and press Enter.
6. Run the System File CheckerThe System File Checker (SFC) is another built-in Windows tool that scans for system file corruption and repairs/replaces missing or damaged system files. You can also run the System File Checker from the RWUT instead of having to run multiple commands in Command Prompt.
Type 6 in the app terminal, press Enter and follow the recommendations on the results page.
You might need to reboot your computer to complete or execute pending system repairs.
7. Scan for Component Store CorruptionThe “Component Store” houses the files and functions required to customize and update Windows. Problems with files in the Component Store can cause Windows update issues. The RWUT can fix Component Store corruption at the push of a button.
Type 7 in the “Select an option” row and press Enter.
8. Reset the Microsoft StoreAre you unable to download apps from the Microsoft Store? Or, you can’t access the app store because your computer won’t open Microsoft Store app? Resetting the Microsoft Store via the RWUT can fix the problem.
Launch the tool, type 13 (or whatever digit corresponds to Reset Microsoft Windows Store), and press Enter.
The command will clear the Microsoft Store’s cache and fix any underlying problems. The Microsoft Store app will open when the reset operation is successful.
9. Check Your Product KeyFinding your PC’s product key has never been easier. You don’t need to check your PC’s retail box, instruction manual, or your Microsoft account’s order history. Launch the RWUT, type 16 in the terminal or dashboard, and press Enter. Your PC’s product key will appear on the screen instantly.
The All-Round ToolThe features of the Reset Windows Update Tool aren’t limited to what we listed above. There are more shortcuts, options, and operations that the program can execute. The “Explore location solutions” option, for instance, will redirect you to the Windows Troubleshooting menu where you can access tools that’ll diagnose and fix network issues, connectivity-related problems, etc.
How To Completely Reset Network Settings On Windows 10
One lesser-known addition in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update is the network reset feature. This feature performs a clean sweep of your network drivers and settings so you can start anew. This is particularly handy if you’re having network issues and nothing you’ve tried seems to fix the problem. If you’re on Windows 10 Anniversary edition and struggling to get a connection, a network reset may just be what you need to get back online.
What Is Network Reset? Before we talk about how to activate a network reset, let’s take a look at what it does. A network reset isn’t as simple as stopping and restarting your network drivers or wiping your network details. In some ways a network reset can be considered the “hard reset” solution for solving a network issue.
When a network reset is activated, it will clean your computer of all network drivers. Once all drivers are cleaned and the PC has been restarted, all of your network settings will be set at their defaults. Windows will then try to download and install drivers for your network hardware again.
This means that your current method of getting onto the Internet will lose the ability to connect. As such, it’s a good idea to have drivers on-hand for your WiFi adapter before performing this method, just in case Windows doesn’t download the drivers for you. Also, if you use a VPN, the network reset will cause havoc with it. As such, it’s best to prepare for a full reinstall of any VPNs you use, so you can recover after the network reset has taken place.
When Should I Use It?As covered, the network reset will perform a clean sweep of all your network drivers and settings. This means it should not be the first port of call when you have network connectivity issues; in fact, it should be your last!
Before you wipe your computer’s network settings, it’s worth trying every method available to fix your network connection. We wrote about a few tricks you can try, so give those a try before performing a reset. On the other hand, if you’ve tried everything in the book and nothing seems to work, then go ahead and try the reset.
Triggering the ResetAfter the restart, your PC will have its network drivers and settings reset. Allow Windows to reinstall drivers or install them manually if you like. Once you’re set back up, try to connect again and see if the reset helped fix your issues.
Back to BasicsIf you’re having network issues with Windows 10 and nothing seems to fix it, a network reset might help. While it should only be used as a last resort, starting over on a blank slate may just be what your computer needs.
Have you been having network issues recently? Did this help? Let us know below!

How To Reset Windows 10 Or 11 Without Losing Everything
It’s easy to run a full factory reset on a Windows 10 or 11 computer, but the risk of losing all your files is viscerally real. To avoid devastating data loss, you’ll need to prepare ahead of time and choose the right options before you give your device a fresh start.
The two best reasons to completely reset a laptop or desktop are to fix catastrophic performance issues or wipe it as clean as possible before selling, donating, or otherwise disposing of the device. If you’re considering a factory reset as a method of repair, make sure you’ve exhausted your troubleshooting options, especially if there are no other problems with your computer other than it being slow and/or hot.
It’s also worth noting that while a factory reset is the most dramatic version of a reset you can do, you’re not required to go that far. When you reset a computer to its factory settings, you’re essentially installing a clean version of the operating system—everything will disappear except for the files and apps your PC’s manufacturer preinstalled on the device. Windows, however, offers a number of options that allow you to keep personal data, settings, and apps intact throughout the reset. It’s a custom process, so make sure you use the settings that best suit your needs.
First, back up your filesAlthough a reset won’t necessarily clear everything off your laptop or desktop, it’s best to back up everything you want to keep before you proceed. Everyone has their own preferred file storage methods, but if you’re looking for tips, you can start with our basic backup guide.
Back up your apps if you canNot every computer program can be backed up or synced with a cloud storage service, but some can. Go through whatever apps you want to keep and see if you can save their data. Even if you can’t, make sure you have all the files, purchase details, and login information necessary before you proceed with a factory reset or any other type of system refresh—you can use a password manager or just jot down the information on a piece of paper. You may have to redownload some or all of your apps and set them up from scratch once your computer reboots, and you don’t want to lose access to something you already paid for.
How to reset Windows 10 or 11The steps to reset a Windows 10 or 11 computer are substantially the same, but the paths and menus may differ. This guide uses Windows 10 (the most popular of the two) as a baseline, with specific notes for where Windows 11 deviates. Also, if you’ve encrypted your laptop or desktop, you’ll need your BitLocker key to reset it. Microsoft can help you find that key if you’re not sure where or what it is.
Finally, make sure your computer is plugged in—Windows won’t reset if it’s running on battery power.

2. Decide how much you want to keep or remove. The next screen will offer you two options: to keep or remove your files, apps, and settings. No matter which one you pick, you may also need to choose whether Windows reinstalls from the cloud (Cloud download) or your device (Local reinstall).
Keep my files. If Windows asks, choose whether you want your files to be saved in the cloud or on your local drive. By default, this option will restore all apps and settings that came with the PC when it was brand new—a complete factory reset. To avoid that and keep only what you had most recently, hit Change settings and turn the toggle switch under Restore preinstalled apps? to No, then hit Confirm. If you don’t see those additional options, your computer didn’t have any preinstalled apps.
Remove everything. As you may have guessed, this will reinstall Windows 10 or 11 and remove your personal files, apps you and your PC manufacturer installed, and reset any changes you made to your computer’s settings.
Once you select this, you can also hit the Change settings link to decide exactly how clean you want your device to be (there’s a Yes/No toggle switch under a Clean data? heading—choose one and hit Confirm to lock it in). Cleaning the drive could take a couple hours but Microsoft recommends it if you plan to get rid of your PC—doing so will make it harder for people to recover anything. Otherwise, you can opt not to clean your data, which will be faster but less secure. The company also notes that this type of data erasure is aimed at consumers and doesn’t meet government or industry standards, so someone with enough expertise and resources might still be able to restore some of your data.
4. Reset your PC. Once you’ve confirmed everything, hit Reset to start the process. There’s no standard for how long this will take on Windows 10 or 11, factory reset or otherwise, but your screen could turn black for more than 15 minutes and your PC might restart multiple times. In all, you could be waiting a couple hours, so be patient—if you try to manually restart your computer while it’s working, the reset could fail.
