Suggested January 2024 Best Free Software To Create Youtube Videos
Creating YouTube videos can be a hobby and a potential source of income. Unlike making your own website, a YouTube channel does not require you to invest in it. You can create a channel for free. However, the equipment and software involved can be very expensive.Best free software to create YouTube videos
While many free software products are available for assisting in creating YouTube videos, I have only covered the best software products here:
OBS for screencasting and camera recording
VSDC for video editing
ChatGPT for scripts
Canva free for thumbnails
Vidiq free for YouTube SEO
YouTube music library for background music
Pexels, Pixabay, Google Images for free images and videos
Voicemaker for voiceovers
Tuberanker for descriptions
Lexica for AI art1] OBS for screencasting and camera recording
Have you ever noticed those tutorial videos in which the tutor is visible in a small frame in the bottom-right corner and an explanation is being given over a PowerPoint presentation? Or those videos in which troubleshooting is depicted through screencasting.2] VSDC for video editing
Once you have created a video either be recording through a camera or screen casting, the next stage is to cut and edit the video, add effects, and text to it. This cannot be done by OBS or other screen recording software products. A separate tool called a video editor is needed for the same.3] ChatGPT for scripts
ChatGPT is a free AI tool which can help with writing articles. While I would never recommend this tool for writing articles, you can use it for creating scripts and translating YouTube scripts to different languages. Other than this, ChatGPT is very helpful in creating sensible descriptions for YouTube.4] Canva free for thumbnails

Before starting any project, planning is very important. Else you will be working hard but in the wrong direction. Thus, SEO tools for finding keywords are important. However, these tools are expensive. Even more, you would find a limited number of tools for YouTube SEO (unlike for websites).

While creating YouTube videos, background music is very important. If you don’t add background music to your video, the background noise will take its place and the audio will sound weird. Even more, background music adds to the emotion of the video. If you pick random background music from the internet, it will most probably be premium.7] Pexels, Pixabay, Google Images for free images and videos
Other than creating screen-casting videos and those shot through cameras, another type of video creation involves using moving images and short videos. For such videos, you will need plenty of images and media. Most high-quality images are premium. However, you can get free images from Pexels and Pixabay. An exception is with news-based images since Pexels and Pixabay exclude those. For them, search creative commons images through Google Images. The procedure is as follows:
Open chúng tôi .
Search for your image.
All images which appear will be free to use.
Read: Royalty-free Copyright free Music which you can use in your videos.8] Voicemaker for voiceovers
While creating YouTube videos, especially faceless ones, you would need voiceovers. Buying voiceovers from voiceover artists can be very expensive. Buying them from premium websites like Wellsaidlabs is cheaper but if you seek a free option, then try Voicemaker.
This website allows a few free voiceovers but can do the job for newbie vloggers. The voices are quite similar to real voices. You can access these voiceovers from voicemaker.in.9] Tuberanker for descriptions 10] Lexica for AI art
As mentioned earlier, most images on the internet are premium. If you use premium images without paying for them, then it can lead to copyright issues. Images available through all free options are limited. Thus, the best option is to create AI images and they have no limit.
While Midjourney is considered the best platform for AI images, lately they ask you to pay and subscribe because of increased traffic. Thus, Lexica is the best option available. All pre-created images are free. As for new images, they are free till a certain limit. These free AI can be accessed from lexica.art.

You're reading Best Free Software To Create Youtube Videos
Starting your own professional YouTube channel requires some investment, as you’ll have to purchase a variety of different equipment that lets you make high quality videos for the world to see. These include cameras, rendering software, capture cards, high-end computers, microphones and even equipment for better lighting. Sure, a good camera is a must-buy for making high quality YouTube videos, but the built-in microphones that most of these cameras have, are probably the worst you could use for YouTube. Audio quality is equally important as video quality, and if you’re looking forward to launch your new YouTube channel on a professional basis, a dedicated microphone is a much needed investment for ensuring great audio quality across all your future videos. Well, there are plenty of options that you can currently choose from, depending on your budget and quality requirements. However, if you’re confused regarding which one to go for, here are the 10 best microphones for YouTube you can buy:Best Budget Condenser Microphones For YouTube 1. Blue Yeti USB Microphone
If you want a great quality mic that’s worth every single penny, the Blue Yeti is certainly the best one that you can go for. In fact, this is the mic we use for our YouTube videos. For the asking price of under 130 bucks, it’s pretty hard to match the Yeti as far as USB microphones are concerned. First of all, it has a three condenser capsule array that lets you record high quality audio in almost any situation. Users can switch between cardioid, bidirectional, omnidirectional and stereo patterns for sound recording, which is a major plus.
The Yeti has two ports, a USB port that powers the device, as well as a 3.5 mm headphone jack that lets you actively listen to what’s being recorded. Additionally, it has a sampling rate of 16-bit at 48 KHz. The Blue Yeti is great for recording vocals, musical instruments, podcasts, voice-overs, interviews, field recordings and even conference calls. However, considering it’s a pretty sensitive microphone, expect it pick up a fair bit of background noise as well. Regardless, it can be pretty much considered as a stellar all-round microphone, and you simply cannot go wrong by opting for it.2. Blue Snowball USB Microphone
Consider this to be a much more affordable alternative to the hugely popular Blue Yeti. If you’re pretty tight on budget, the Blue Snowball immediately becomes an obvious choice. The microphone is mostly built out of plastic with a metal grill, in a move to keep the costs down. There are three recording settings located at the back of the microphone. Users will be able to easily switch between Cardioid, Cardioid with -10dB pad and omnidirectional polar patterns. Additionally, the microphone has a sampling rate of 16-bit at 44.1 KHz, and a frequency response ranging from 40 Hz to 18 KHz.
For an asking price of under 70 bucks, the Blue Snowball is an inexpensive microphone. While using the cardioid mode on this microphone, you seem to get the full frequency response. However, the omnidirectional mode seems pretty hard to recommend as the audio becomes tinny and unpleasant to the ear. If you’re not planning to use the inferior omnidirectional mode, you could save 20 bucks by going for the lower-end Snowball iCE microphone. All in all, the Snowball manages to check most of the boxes expected from a microphone at this price point and it’s well suited to podcasts, vocals, interviews and other voice work.
Buy from Amazon: ($69)3. Audio Technica AT2023 USB Microphone
In terms of sound quality, the Audio Technica AT2023 certainly doesn’t fail to impress us. Although the Blue Yeti might offer a fuller sound due to better balance between base and high frequencies, the AT2023 focus much more on the high frequences with lesser base. This results in a smoother detail in comparison to the Blue Yeti, but take this with a grain of salt, as sound quality preferences are highly subjective. The cardiod polar pattern reduces pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, thereby improving isolation of desired sound source. For a $128 price tag, you simply cannot go wrong with the AT2023, as it’s one of the best microphones you can buy in this segment.
Buy from Amazon: ($128)Best Professional Condenser Mics For YouTube 1. Sennheiser MKH 416 Shotgun Tube Condenser Microphone
Now that we’ve seen some of the best budget microphones that are out there on the market today, let’s move on to high-end microphones that’s used by professionals for the best possible audio quality. The Sennheiser MKH416 is considered to be the industry standard, as it’s preferred by film producers, as well as some of the popular YouTubers for their videos. That’s right, we’re looking at you, Jonathan Morrison. That being said, the MKH 416 is a shotgun microphone, and like several other shotgun microphones, it’s capable of picking up audio from the front very well, even at longer distances than traditional microphones.
The Sennheiser MKH 416 makes use of RF biasing rather than DC biasing, unlike conventional microphones in the market. It’s less susceptible to pop sounds and proximity, which is to be expected from a microphone at this price point. Sennheiser ensures high sensitivity and very low inherent self-noise, which is much needed for a production-grade microphone. If you want your voice to sound absolutely crispy and detailed, this is without doubt the best investment you’ll make for your YouTube channel, in terms of audio equipment. However, be ready to burn a hole in your pocket, as it costs nearly 1000 bucks in order to get your hands on one of them.
Buy from Amazon: ($999.95)2. AKG Pro Audio C214 Condenser Microphone
Although not quite as great as the production-grade Sennheiser MKH 416, the AKG Pro Audio C214 is definitely a worthy professional microphone that you can consider, thanks to the much more affordable price point. This microphone has the sonic character of its bigger brother, the C414 XLII which costs over thousand dollars. This results in a beautifully detailed recording of lead vocals and solo instruments. The C214 has an exceptional dynamic range and ultra-low noise for close-up recording of high output sources of up to 156 dB.
Buy from Amazon: ($349)3. Rode NT1-A Vocal Condenser Microphone
When it comes to microphones, we just cannot forget to mention about Rode, because that’s the reputation this company has received over the years, thanks to their stellar product line-up. The Rode NT1-A is no exception on that regard as it delivers outstanding audio quality for the price. The NT1-A has a large 1-inch capsule with a gold plated diaphragm and offers cardioid polar pattern to the end user. It has a very low self-noise rated at 5 dB and also features a transformerless surface mount circuitry.
Since the Rode NT1-A is not a USB microphone, it requires an audio interface with preamps to work. When it comes to sound quality, the NT1-A offers a good presence bump, which makes the microphone a great choice for recording musical instruments. It has a neutral response as well, thereby making the recordings easy to equalize. It’s well suited to users who’re looking forward to record vocals, voice-overs, podcasts and musical instruments, and for a price tag of approximately $229, this is certainly a worthy investment.Best Shotgun Microphones For YouTube Vlogging & Broadcasting 1. Rode VideoMic Pro
If you’re looking forward to vlog on YouTube, you’re probably interested in a getting a shotgun microphone that you can connect to your DSLR camera. Well, the Rode VideoMic Pro is one of the best shotgun microphones out there, and you’ll certainly not be disappointed with the audio quality that this microphone has to offer in all your future vlogs. For a shotgun mic, the VideoMic Pro is pretty compact, which is much needed when you’re shooting vlogs. There are two toggles located at the back of this microphone. One of them lets users switch between on, off and high-pass filter, and other one lets you adjust the gain between -10, 0 and +10 dB depending on your recording preferences.
The Rode VideoMic Pro has a super-cardioid pickup pattern, which is essential in eliminating in a fair bit of background noise. When it comes to sound quality, you will receive the best possible sound when the subject is facing straight towards the mic. The mid-range tone offered by the microphone is pretty rich, with emphasis on vocal timbre. That being said, the VideoMic Pro is certainly a huge step up from the built-in microphone on a DSLR, as it delivers good audio quality when it comes to broadcasts, interviews and vlogs. For an asking price of $229, the Rode VideoMic Pro is a great affordable mic to record much better audio with your camera.
Buy from Amazon: ($229)2. Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone
Moving on to the sound quality, since the MKE 600 is a neutral microphone, it manages to deliver broad and detailed sound. Overall, the audio tends to be a tad warmer and the directional range seems to be better in comparison to several other shotgun microphones out there. Well, consider the MKE 600 to be the little sibling to the legendary MKH 416 microphone as far as overall audio quality is concerned. If you think that the Rode VideoMic Pro will not make the cut for your professional work, the Sennheiser MKE 600 will certainly do the job, if you’re willing to spend nearly a hundred dollars more.
Buy from Amazon: ($308.53)Best Lavalier Microphones For YouTube 1. Audio Technica ATR 3350 Omnidirectional Microphone
Moving away from the plethora of condenser and shotgun microphones on the market, we’ve now got Lavalier microphones. Also know as lav mics or lapel mics, these microphones are more versatile and well suited to be used along with DSLRs for interviews, public-speaking and broadcasting purposes. They’re also pretty affordable compared to other types of microphones. The Audio Technica ATR 3350 microphone seems to lead the pack in this department, and this one is an omnidirectional microphone. It has a frequency response ranging from 50 Hz to 18 KHz and has an open circuit sensitivity rated at 54 dB.
In terms of sound quality, the ATR 3350 delivers a flatter sound compared to several other lavalier microphones. However, the mic sensitivity is low, and thereby you need to boost up the signal before it sounds true to its potential. In addition to being used along with cameras, it can even be connected to your smartphone for much better audio, just in case you’re planning to vlog. Lastly, what impresses us most is the ATR 3350’s price tag, because at under 30 bucks, you just cannot go wrong by opting for this lavalier headphone.
Buy from Amazon: ($28.90)2. Sony ECMCS3 Omnidirectional Stereo Microphone
Last on the list, we’ve got a lavalier microphone that’s even considerably more affordable than the ATR 3350. Coming from Sony, the build quality is pretty mediocre, as it’s made out of plastic and feels like you might actually break it. However, at this price point, this microphone is unmatched in terms of what it has to offer. The ECMCS3 has a frequency response ranging from 50 Hz to 15 KHz, which is good enough for a lavalier microphone. The mic’s cord length is short at 3 feet, so you will have to make use of a recorder in order to plug it in, rather than directly connecting it to a DSLR.

For launching a professional YouTube channel, good audio quality is equally important as the video quality, and that’s exactly why we highly recommend you to purchase a dedicated microphone for recording high quality audio footage. Well, we’re glad we could list out some of the best ones that are currently available on the market, and thereby make your decisions much more easier. If you’re on a budget, but want audio quality that’s nothing short of impressive, the Blue Yeti might be the obvious choice. However, if you’re ready to shell out a chunk of cash for the best possible sound recording, the Sennheiser MKH 416 is pretty much the industry standard.
Your computer is probably the most valuable asset in your home, even though it’s not the most expensive. Gaining access to your computer can make a lot of money for creators of spyware, malware and ransomware. For example, a new ransomware called CryptoWall has been going around lately that encrypts everything on your hard drive and won’t give you the decryption key until you pay them money.
A lot of systems become infected when someone opens an email attachment that appears to be safe, but in reality is malware. To protect yourself from those type of situations, you really need a real-time monitoring program in order to stop the malware from installing itself immediately.
Table of Contents
I’m going to mention a couple of great free anti-malware programs, but most of them do not include real-time monitoring in the free versions. Whether you should purchase the premium or pro versions depends on what kind of computer user you are. If you haven’t gotten a virus or malware in many years, you probably know how to avoid these types of scams, but if you’re uncertain about whether something is legitimate or not, it’s probably a good idea to have more protection.Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
One of the best tools for repairing malware infections is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. The free version includes anti-malware, anti-spyware and anti-rootkit protection. The big downside to the free version is that it does not include real-time protection or automated scans, so malware would not be blocked from installing itself onto your system and would only be removed once you ran a manual scan.
Overall, it’s a great product and can really help you remove any pre-existing malware on your system. However, the real value of the program is in the real-time monitoring and protection available only in the premium version ($25).Spybot Search & Destroy
Spybot has been around for a very long time and has a very good track record of finding and removing spyware and malware. It’s trustworthy and regularly updated.
When installing Spybot, you’ll be asked whether you want to be protected automatically or whether you want more control and feedback from the program, so pick the option that suits you best.
Once complete, you can go back to the main window and perform a system or file scan. Again, there is no live protection in the free version. Also, the free version only has malware and rootkit protection, not virus protection. They have a Home version for $14 and a Professional version for $26.
It does have a feature called Immunization, which basically is website blocking of known malware sites. It’s not enabled by default, so you have to manually enable it.Ad-Aware
Ad-Aware has also been around for a very long time and is one of the best antivirus programs out there. When installing the program, make sure to uncheck the two boxes for SecureSearch as that is not really worth it. Google does just fine protecting your searches.
The best thing about Ad-Aware is that it supports real-time protection in the free version! Just about all the other programs require a paid version for real-time monitoring. They do have several paid versions ranging from $24 to $50, but you get a lot of protection without having to pay anything.
In the paid versions, you can also get email protection, which is really useful to avoid those nefarious attachments that can infect your system.SUPERAntiSpyware
SUPERAntiSpyware is another spyware/malware removal program that has a long history. A lot of these older programs have gotten better and better over the years and that’s why you keep hearing the same names over and over again.
Again, the free version does not include real-time protection, scheduled scans or automatic updates. The paid version is $20, but it’s a yearly fee. I’m willing to pay companies like Kaspersky a yearly subscription fee because they do an excellent job, but I really don’t think SUPERAntiSpyware is worth $20 every year. If you plan to purchase an anti-spyware program, it’s best to pick one of the above-mentioned ones instead.AdwCleaner
AdwCleaner is probably the only program you may not have already heard about. Basically, this program focuses on toolbars, browser hijackers, adware, etc.
The program catches a lot of malware that other programs sometimes miss, so that’s why I have mentioned it here. In my opinion after using malware programs for the last 15 years, these are the best options in terms of freeware. I would highly recommend, though, purchasing a full version of one of the programs for real-time protection. Enjoy!

Note: I have tried these Windows uninstaller software on my Windows 10 PC, but most of the uninstall software should work on older Windows versions like Windows 8.1, 8, 7, and even XP.
1. Iobit Uninstaller
One of the most popular free software uninstallers for Windows PCs, Iobit Uninstaller is actually the one I use on my PCs, which is why it gets pride of place at number 1 on our list. It is, by far, the most uncomplicated, efficient and user-friendly uninstaller I’ve come across on the Windows platform, in spite of being relatively lightweight. In can not only uninstall programs, but also clean up the the redundant registry entries, files and folders that are often left behind by uninstalled programs. The process includes two separate steps. First up, it uses the unwanted application’s built-in uninstaller to uninstall the program, after which, its ‘Powerful Scan’ option checks the Windows registry and hard drives for leftovers not taken care of by the built-in uninstaller, and presents you with an option to manually select each element for deletion. The whole process is seamless and, from my personal experience at least, works pretty well for the most part.
Download: (Free)2. GeekUninstaller
GeekUninstaller comes with a clean, minimalist UI and, offers quite a few important features like real-time installation monitoring, startup programs management and batch uninstall. However, all of those aforementioned features are only reserved for the paid version that starts at $24.95. However, it does offer the ‘force uninstall’ option in the free version, making it easier to get rid of rogue, hard-to-uninstall software. It did manage to uninstall a few unwanted programs on my company-issued Dell Vostro, including a particularly stubborn trial version of Trend Micro Internet Security that had far outlived its utility.
One of the neat features about GeekUninstaller Free is that it has a portable version that comes either as a ZIP file or a 7z file, both weighing in between 2MB and 2.7MB. Like some of the other software on the list, you can uninstall not just desktop apps, but also Universal Windows Apps, but strangely enough, doesn’t offer to create a restore point before beginning the uninstallation, unlike most of the other apps on our list.3. Wise Program Uninstaller
Another novel feature of Wise Uninstaller is its crowdsourced approach to categorizing software based on the ratings and reviews sent in by its users, so you can see other people’s ratings and reviews, as well as write your own. Although this process of marking software as safe or unsafe based on crowdsourced ratings isn’t likely to be foolproof, it can still give you a bit of an idea from time to time.
Download: (Free)4. Ashampoo Uninstaller
5. Revo Uninstaller
Revo Uninstaller is one of the oldest and best-known names in the category, and comes with a lot of features that very few of its competitors can match. One of the best features of the program is its ability to monitor software installs in real-time, so that it could reverse all the changes made by the program that’s being uninstalled. Revo Uninstaller also lets you uninstall programs via the command line, so if you’re looking to have complete control over your PC and is knowledgeable enough to be able operate your machine via the command line, Revo Uninstaller might just be the right option for you. Having said that, many of the best features of Revo Uninstaller are only available in the paid version, including batch uninstall, extended scanning and full registry backup, all of which can be found on Iobit Uninstaller for free. Which is why the program is so far down our list in spite of being one of more popular and well-known software uninstallers in the market.
When it’s time to actually uninstall a program, you get a choice between ‘Standard Mode’ and ‘Hunter Mode’. With the former, you get a list of all the installed programs from which you can pick the one(s) to get rid of, while the later gives you the ability to either drag and drop program shortcuts onto a pre-designated area within the Revo Uninstaller window or drag and drop a sniper crosshair from within the Revo GUI to a program’s shortcut to uninstall it from your PC. While the free version is severely handicapped in terms of features, the paid version is feature-packed, and comes with a list-price of $39.25, although, you can currently get it for just $19.62.
Download: (Free, Paid version costs $19.62)
6. Absolute Uninstaller
The penultimate program on our list is not just an uninstaller, but a venerable Swiss Army Knife of software that has remained the most beloved and recommended Windows system utility for well over a decade now. CCleaner (formerly Crap Cleaner) is a relatively lightweight download that doesn’t put much strain on your system, but comes with a number of features, like, registry cleaner, startup manager, drive wiper and more. It was originally just a system cleaner that got rid of junk and temporary files on your PC, but has now morphed into a full-fledged PC utility suit that’s generally believed to be the safest, lightest and least invasive multi-purpose utility suit available in the market today, and what’s even better is that it’s all free for personal use.
While the uninstall option within CCleaner isn’t chock-a-block with features, it is still quite a capable uninstaller in its own right, and even supports the removal of Universal Windows Apps. It also has a separate section for browser plugins, add-ons and extensions for IE, Firefox and Chrome respectively, so you can remove all the pesky, additional software on your browsers from one, integrated control panel, rather than having to go deep into the settings of each browser separately to remove them.8. Total Uninstall
Apart from that, Total Uninstall has something called Monitored Programs which takes a backup of your Registry values just before the installation of a program. Now when you uninstall the program, Total Uninstall restores the same Registry values as earlier. This way, both installation and uninstallation on your Windows PC will always be super-clean. Besides that, Total Uninstall comes with a unique feature where you can back up an application along with its user data and move the application to another computer without uninstalling the program. You can create a back up of the program with Total Uninstall and then restore it on the destination computer the same way. In this way, you will not lose your files and configurations associated with the program.

Now that we’ve taken a look at a whole bunch of third-party uninstallers, let’s not forget that Windows has always had a built-in program uninstaller for as long as I can remember. It does the job when it comes to regular programs, but the reason most people still look for third-party alternatives, is because it is clunky, unintuitive and even inefficient. Sure, it gets the job done, but because it only runs a program’s built-in uninstaller without cleaning up afterwards, more often than not, it leaves behind a truckload of unwanted files, folders, settings and registry entries that may eventually clog up your PC.
